Clarion Inn & Suites, Monroe

I did not like the crub appeal because was not any .The front looked like a restrauant had closed . If it was not for the sign out in front and my GPS telling me that i have reached my destination we would have looked else where.After we got into the lobby, it is not a five star but it is nice and clean.Yes it is an older building( just ignore the train) It was a hot out and warm inside as well.They were making changes .Big inside pool and the outside pool was better.

I had the worse expierence at this Hotel. First of all the hotel doors if you lock them still open. my 2 year old daughter was staying in a family members room and escaped at 5am while everbody was asleep and all the doors were locked. Thank god she was smart enough to stay infron of the door and knock!! 2nd of all another dfamily member had a purse stolen right out of her room while we were gone. The staff is sneaky and the place is hot and stinky and reaks of chlorine!!!!

My son and I enjoyed the pool while visiting his dad on the pipeline. Thank you. That guy should visit the African Heritage Museum. He sounds racist.

The rooms were horrible and had roaches. We asked for our money back and went to new hotel.

The hotel is next to a busy railroad track and very noisy. It is an older hotel that has not been updated. room smells like the pool chlorine. I stayed there because of a point promotion-receive extra priority club points....never received them. Will stay at the Courtyard or Hilton-much nicer and same rate

The Hotel is showing it's age. The rooms lack wireless and there are not enough receptacles properly located to plug in all laptops and cell phones. I've been in two rooms and the bathroom has had cracks between the walls and ceilings. The drop ceilings above the showers are moldy. If you get stuck here DO NOT get a room close to the Dome. In one week I was woken up three times by booming music and yelling people at 2:30 in the morning! The staff promptly changed my rooms to a quieter side of the hotel after my third complaint. Now my bed is concave in the middle and I heard a whinny dog from another room all night. This Hotels holds many functions and from my observations it caters to a African American crowd.

I love that i can trust this people with my kids.They are there if we need help.They never leave you mad.The sevise rockes. People need tocome there more.

We got a king non-smoking room. It was generously sized and the bed was comfortable. There was a couch and writing desk also. The room was very clean and the service was very good. The only down side is that the hotel is located across the street from a very active railroad. Of course,our room was on the side closest to the track. The street that runs in front of the hotel crosses the track. So,the trains blew their horns when they got to the street. The horns were very loud! The first night,the trains seem to run continuously. The second night we got a few hours of peaceful sleep. If you can sleep through a lot of noise,then a stay here won't bother you. Otherwise,I'd pick another location.

Some of the statff was extremely helpful and the room was clean. However, my breakfast was 40 minutes late and I had to call twice to receieve it. Upon reciept, there was no toast and the coffee was cold. Also, there is no elevator requiring luggage to be carried up stairs.

My sister and I stayed at this Hotel in July 2005. Not at all what I expected from a Holiday Inn, having visited them all over the country. Our first complaint was lack of functioning air conditioning. The hallway leading to our room felt like the tropics, high heat and humidity. When we complained the front desk staff was very nice and gave us their fan to help cool our room. Next came the bugs. It was about 1:00 a.m. we had only one light on in the room when the first bug crawled on my sister. Then there were several more on each of our beds and the night stand. At the time I had no idea what kind of bugs they were. Now I believe they were bedbugs. We called the front desk, they were again very nice and put us in another room. However, they did not seem surprised that we had bugs in our room. I even brought them one of the dead bugs so they would be able to show the pest control professionals. They were not interested in this at all. The manager knocked about $20 off the cost of the room. I will not stay at this hotel again.
