Super 8 New Orleans, New Orleans

It is in East New Orleans. Miles from downtown. When the cab driver drove us from the airport and we told him the address he said it was way on the other side of town. Also the location is horrible. It was and place of high crime and hookers. It is good the hotel offered breakfast because there is no place to eat within walking distance. We were also advised by the cab driver not to go out at night because even if the hookers approach you and try to mingle with you the police will stop and pick you up, even if you try to ignore them. If you are going to New Orleans want to enjoy it stay downtown where you could at least walk to a nice place. This place does not do New Orleans justice.

It may not be the best location or the best building[ shows age] but this place is a great value for the price, very clean and the personal very helpfull and friendly! We will definetly stay in it again!

Was really impressed with the hotel. There was the concern about the area but you have sucure parking behind a fence. We had not problems. Rooms were clean and good size. Easy access to New Orleans. Only 6 miles and easy access to all the fun. Night staff was great showing us were to go see things. Will stay again

We stayed for 3 days and the hotel and staff were outstanding. Safety after dark was a concern as the hotel is located in a rough part of New Orleans. We had dinner delivered twice and stopped and got dinner one evening. New Orleans has a long way to go to get me to come back. The hotel and staff were great, but the area is just scarey for me.

Very nice and clean for the price. Very reasonable, kids loved the pool, and the interior breezeway with the ornamental ironwork really made ya feel like you were in in the French Quarter. Short drive to anywhere in town. Will stay again if I ever return to the area. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

We stayed during the 2009 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and really enjoyed our stay. They had covered parking, security, free breakfast (coffee, doughnuts, bagels, cereal, etc..), very clean room and bathroom. No problems whatsoever. The front desk workers and staff were very nice. I would definitely stay again!!! Only 10 minutes from the festival and bourbon street.

this was a last minute choice during a local festival that turned out to be a great choice. this isn't the most expensive hotel but the hotel is neat well kept and the service is great. they have security to ensure your safety and they close the gates at nnight so you know your car will be there in the morning, and security is there around the clock. it's not the ideal neighborhood, but it is in a great location the interstate is like 30 seconds away for whichever way your going. there is a pron store next door but its not like oh my goodness they're prostitutes outside. i thouroughly enjoyed my stay and it was only like a 6 minute drive from downtown new orleans. overall i would say yes stay there but dont expect the hilton expect a nice quaint inexpensive secure clean hotel.

You will love this Super 8 Motel. The location is actually good it is only within 5 miles from the French Quarter. Nimesh at the Front Desk is very professional with his job. The room was very clean and the hotel is very unique to all the Super 8 I have stayed at the lobby and the entire hotel is so special. The pool is very relaxing if you trying to beat the heat. I would recommend this motel to anyone for Business, Family and young crowd.

This motel is great if you do not want to spend a lot of money and/or if you are driving to new orleans. The parking at the motel is free and it is only a 5-10 minute drive to the french quarter. We also only had a 30 minute drive to the swamp tour that we went on. The continental breakfast every morning was nice. The room was very spacious and clean and it even had a refrigerator. There was even free wireless internet. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

This Super 8 location, combined with the low rates, let my family and I have a place to rest without worry. The service was wonderful. A great place for travelers just passing through.
