Picky customer , very very happy with stay.
By Franklin D, 2/16/11
I have stayed in motels all over the world and I am very fussy about where I stay. I compare the motels on a cost versus quality. For the money, the motel was very good and I left a happy customer. I really appreciate the fact that the hotel management knew I had two dogs with me and I thought like most motels I was going to get some nasty tore up room that they use for dog owners. I was very surprise to find that our room was very nice and the management had even put us in a room that was closes to the grassy area of the motel. This decision was not forced on us they actually took the time to ask us if that would be all right. How nice. Customer service is something I usually don't get, especially with two small dogs. The rooms were old but very clean and I really enjoyed the fact that I could open the window to the room, it’s nice to get some fresh air when ever I wanted to. I will definitely be using this Travel Lodge in Bloomington Indiana again. Franklin D, room 138

Nice and decent
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/1/08
Loved that there were a lot of restaurant and shops within walking distance. Front desk staff were nice and helpful. Hallways reeked of cigarette smoke but room was clean and comfortable. One the best hotels I've stayed at in Bloomington, and I keep coming back here. Great value.

Good location, good value
By Michael, 5/27/07
Honestly, you are probably best off choosing this hotel instead of other options in Bloomington up to $25 more per night. Unless you need a swimming pool, you won't gain anything by going elsewhere. This hotel has a great location within walking distance of College Mall and Indiana University. Since parking is horrible around Bloomington, this is important. That said, there are some issues with the hotel. Like previous reviewers have said, there are odors of East Indian food in the halls. The air conditioner is quite noisy, a problem during the summer months. Finally, the beds are certainly quite hard. The decor is very outdated, but that is rather superficial when you consider the price.

Great place to stay!
By Wjolf, 7/6/05
This was a great place to stay! The staff was extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful with good restaurants around town and things like that. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was working well. It was a good environment and close to the highway. Overall, one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
