DON'T STAY HERE!!
By ,
this hotel was horrible, one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed at. paid a ton of money to stay here and they don't even give you free wireless internet, you gotta pay an arm and a leg to use it. the ac didn't work, turns out it shuts on and off automatically when the room door opens, no mini fridge, and parking was outragously priced. would never stay here again!!

Ofcourse employees are the one who make the difference..But what kind of employees are they..they hired by twisted Human Resources of this place ..the latest example is an employee decided to take off on his own for Two months never called said he had a emergency HR gave him a tap on the wrist ...try getting work from that ..it is worst then pulling teeth..Just a little advise some of us do put their soul in work most of them it is a cash cow...nepotism and croonism is a way of life here..

Ugh
By ,
Was greeted at Registration by Francesca, the ice princess. My guess is that the DMV fired her for having a poor attitude. She didnt take my bellhop ticket and our luggage went missing for over an hour. No apology. Room was nice, but the A./C was motion activated, so the temp creeped to nearly 80 degrees while we were out and took hours to cool off once we returned. They were doing brick work on our side of the motel which began at approx 8a each morning and sounded like a 747 coming in for a landing. Food at the restaurant was average at best, although the servers were all very friendly and helpful. We asked the crabby security guards for directions in the hotel several times and were sent the wrong way each time. Do NOT valet park. My son left a digital camera in the backseat of our rental car and it was never seen again...

Booked thru priceline so rate was pretty good. Rooms smelled of b.o; air conditioning not good, bathroom had seen better days.

Not worth the money!
By ,
This was a gorgeous hotel from the outside and in the lobby. However, when we reached the elevator things started to look quite dingy. Our bathrooms in our room had grout that was in need of a deep scrubbing and had an overall appearance of dirty. Wireless internet is available, but that's an additional fee. Are you kidding? Even the roach motel offers wireless for free! Also, the fitness room was available for only $15 per day. Wow, I thought the room rate was enough to cover that. When I used the coffee supplies in the room, they were not replenished. I called the next morning requesting more and was told that wasn't housekeeping's area but they would send some up. No kidding, nearly 90 minutes later I got the cream and sugar! Glad I wasn't in a big hurry. I'll definitely be staying next door for half the cost and a lot better accommodations the next time I'm in Chicago!

ONLY place to stay in Chicago
By ,
This is my favorite place to stay when in the city. We love the location views of the lake and lake front scenery and hotel decorations. The easy access to Blues right out the back door at Legends is fantastic. Lou Malnati's is just around the corner not to mention the short distance to Millenium Park, Buckingham Fountain and the Bean. I love this location and all the great service. You are surrounded by art, history and music...and Food!

Ok if you can get a cheap rate
By ,
Found a great rate here by using priceline.com. Stayed here the first time and had a bad experience - room smelled funny and AC wasn't working right. They made efforts to repeatedly fix it, but it still never worked quite right and the temperature was uncomfortable. We got a free stay out of it and went back for New Year's Eve. This time was better - they gave us a room on the executive floor, which is nice - free breakfast and coffee/soda all the time. Rooms are fancy, but old. Only stay here if you get a good deal somewhere. No extras like wifi or parking are included - you have to pay extra for them.

I give it an \"A\"!
By ,
The room was spacious however it had a "vintage" feel. It was nice and everything we needed was there. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was within walking distance of the Field Museum, The Shedd Aquarium, The Willis(Sears) Tower, and many other attractions. The price to park was outrageous in my opinion, but other than that our stay was great.

terrible customer service
By ,
When I called to edit my existing reservation, I was placed on hold for 30 minutes! Finally someone came on the phone and said, "Ill have to transfer you", so I was put on hold for another 5 minutes. When I finally did get to speak to someone, as I was going through my changes, I asked her to send me a revised copy of the reservation to which she huffed and acted very put off. Before she was able to disconnect with me, I said "I have one more question" to which she replied "I'm working at the front desk and I have customers waiting!" I thought, so am I not your customer? pathetic and rude. Hotel better find some better employees for their guests to truly enjoy their stay.
