Great stay

Rooms are newly renovated. Nice size rooms. Clean & comfortable, especially the beds. Nice staff. Reasonably priced. Close to great shopping mall. Definitely would recommend for personal or business travel.

Pleasant enjoyable stay

Very nice location and close to numerous restaurants and stores for anything a traveler might need. It was a little crazy during the breakfast rush with all the other guests but it was a very nice breakfast. Nice place to stay.

Pleasant stay

We had no complaints about the facilities or service. They lowered our price to what we thought it said when we made a reservation. The bed were comfortable and the breakfast had lots of selection.

great value

MAY 2008. Nicely refurbished hotel (don't look for the usual white building with blue trim--seems to be an Aztec gold color now) in the west burbs of Chicago. The front desk personnel were friendly and efficient. Check-in took only a minute or two. They even called our room a few minutes after check-in asking if everything was OK. No other property in the area matched the $94.00 rate that included a continental breakfast with hot items (bacon, eggs, English muffins, even real butter and jelly). The bacon was good quality and well cooked. You could even make waffles with an iron and fresh batter--no toaster waffles here). The usual cold cereals, sweet muffins, bananas, milk and fruit juices were also available. There was no need to go away hungry. The eating area was clean and well furnished. Our King Room was large, nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The bath was also very clean and roomy. Again, the place seemed to have been recently renovated. There was brand new carpeting in our room and hallway. The stock photo of the King Room is exactly the way our room looked. There was even a newspaper at the door each morning. It's quite a drive to the City but it didn't cost $250--$300 a night. We had no complaints--stay here! (the only negative...study the location and have a good detailed map. The given address "Midwest Rd" is also listed and posted on street signs as "Summit Rd" ).

WOW! What a pleasent surprise!
By , 10/21/05
When I booked a Chicago area hotel for a special of $49 a night I was not sure what to expect. I was so thrilled with the quality of this hotel that I know where I will stay if I am ever in the area again! The rooms were very clean and smelled better than any hotel I have ever stayed in before. I left $5 tips for the maids every day because I was so happy with the room. The free breakfast in the morning featured hot food and a decent selection. The front desk attendants were also very pleasent and helpful. This hotel is on the up and up, I would gladly pay much more than the $49 to stay in this hotel again!

Will Be Returning
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/14/05
It was great. The rooms were large and spacious. The breakfast in the morning is well worth it with waffles and oatmeal and juice and bagels. It is a very clean and very comfy place to stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone!! They do have free high speed internet. We had a walk in closet and the bathroom is seperate from a large vanity and sink.

Will be my choice in the future!!
By delia, 08/31/05
The hotel was clean, the pool was nice, and the location very nice, especially for shopping! The staff was very friendly and the girls at the front desk were nicer and more helpful than many concierges at 5 Star hotels (who expect a tip for their general rudeness). I was amazed at the service and cleanliness for the price I paid. They also had a small fridge and microwave in the room which I find very convenient. It will be the only place I stay from now on. One other thing I liked was coffee 24 hrs a day in the lobby.

Could be better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/05
The first night we had to go to the front desk and receive a plunger as the toilet did not flush properly. We were required to return the plunger that night. First thing the next morning we had to go down and get the plunger again as the toilet was still not working properly. Had we been able to keep the plunger we could have handled it ourselves. The one good thing was La Quinta tried to give me someting for our trouble and sent me a free night anywhere certificate.

Very nice accomodations for the price.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/03/04
Pleasant and cooperative, I had the BEST stay in any hotel in Chicago. Absolutely no hassles, or looks. Totally wonderful service. I will stay here everytime I travel from either airport in Chicago. My new home away from home. Thank you for being there, and for being on Yahoo where I found you.
