Comfort Inn Skokie, Skokie

We stayed 3 nights in adjoining rooms. Both were very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. Always friendly and helped us immensely on our first Chicago vacation. Safe, microwave, and fridge in each room. 30 minute taxi to downtown or to/from O'Hare. Busses and trains very close by. Good restaurants and a grocery mart all in short walking distance. It was perfect for our family of 6. Thank for a great stay! (No elevator, so ask for ground floor if you don't want to do stairs to second floor.)

We didn't realize that it had such a nice pool area. My daughter made use of the treadmill to stay in training for track. The breakfast was a full breakfast, not just rolls and coffee. The servers were very nice! The room was clean and nicer than we expected for the price. The beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay there again!

Clean, clean, clean. Everything worked, too. Not a burned-out lightbulb in the place. We will return. Front desk personnel was helpful. They gave great driving directions to points of interest in Chicago.

I have never had a worse experience at a hotel. We stayed here for a week while at a dance competition in the area. Everything went great the first night. In the morning however after showering I heard water running, upon inspection I realized it was the water pouring out of the ceiling from the shower draining in the room above us. When I told the front desk they said okay, there was no offer to switch rooms or fix the problem. Hind sight is 20/20 but at this point we should have checked out! Towels for the pool area were inconveniently located at the front desk where most employees ignored people waiting for assistance. On the 3rd day the counter to the sink in our room fell apart. I told staff this as well, as complained about the leaky ceiling (again) and they decided to fill out a repair ticket, still no new room. On the 5th day of our stay an obnoxious family that was drinking and smoking, was allowed to be in the pool area (yes smoking and putting out cigarettes in the hot tub even)! Upon check-out I told of my experiences and was given a simple I'm sorry. I overheard another customer complaining at the front desk that the afformentioned family was loud all night and swearing in the room next to them and he asked if he could switch rooms and was told "no, there is no availability" which the lady at the front desk in the morning said that there had been. I will NOT be returning to this hotel EVER again, it gives Comfort Inn an very BAD name!

Clean room and great service. The bathroom was in need of some maintenance. Rust stains in the tub and some cracks in the walls. Could be a 5 star if they paid more attention to details.

We were looking for a hotel outside of Chicago and found this Comfort Inn in Skokie. Very nice area, near shopping and food. Hot Breakfast for guests everymorning. Great place to stay if you dont want to be in the heart of Chicago
