American Midwest Hotel, Burbank

I travel often and usually stay at the mid to cheap hotels. I've been in some bad ones but to me its just a bed.....usually. I have found my bottom limit on this one. I booked this because of the three star rating it had on hotels.com. I must have missed the negative sign before those stars. Rooms filthy and reaks of incense. Stains in, well, everything. Bugs in tub. Wall paper peeling. Furniture old and falling apart. I just got to my room and am already looking for another hotel online. I may stop at the nearest hospital. I feel like i should get a shot for everthing.

People,this is a very old hotel the service is o.k.My first visit was in 89'it was a beauty 5 star back then.The last 5yrs I've become a regular,jacuzzi-rms.are the only thing worth anything the pool has been out of order 8yrs and counting the place is falling apart and they don't tell you that up front......they'll say things will be repaired by the time you visit .....so I encourage SUMMER-TIME ONLY,COUPLES ONLY&JACUZZI RMS ONLY.

THERE WAS NOTHING TO LIKE ABOUT THIS HOTEL!!!!! WHEN WE ARRIVED THEY INFOEMED US THAT THERE WAS NO HEAT, WHICH WAS NOT MENTIONED WHEN WE MADE OUR RESERVATION, AND THIS WAS NOT A PROBLEM THAT HAD JUST HAPPENED. THEY NEW THIS BEFORE HAND FROM TALKING TO OTHER PATRONS. NOT TO SAY BUT WE WERE CAUHGT BETWEEN A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE BECAUSE AT THIS LATE TIME WE HAD TO STAY. BECAUSE OF TIME RESTRAINTS. WE WENT OUT AND PURCHASED A SMALL HEATER WHICH HELPED. IT WAS SO HORRIBLE THAT IT BECAME LAUGHABLE. ONLY PLACE WAS WARM WAS IN THE BANQUET ROOM DUE TO ALL THE BODIES IN THE ROOM, EMAGINE THAT. AROUND 8:00AM THE POWER IN THE ROOM WENT OUT TOOK TWENTY MINUTES FOR MAINTENANCE TO REPAIR THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW WE HAD TO GET OUT. HALOWEEN CAME EARLY FOR US THIS YEAR.

i loved the jacuzzi tub. the mirrored ceilings were great and the service was excellent. they were there to serve you and help you out in any way possible.
