Beautiful Oceanfront Condos - the best on Maui!
By Jan, 4/8/12
However, this is a "Bait and Switch" by Yahoo. You cannot actually rent these condos through Yahoo. However, if you do want to rent them, google "Sunshine & Rainbows" + "Maui" to find us. i will be delighted to either rent my condos to you or find someone else in the complex to rent to you. Yes, some of these photo's are mine, stolen without permission by Yahoo, to get you to rent a different, inferior condo. You will not be able to rent our beautiful condos on this site. They will tell you nothing is available and then refer you somewhere else. Feel free to call: Jan at 808-250-2222

Valley Isle unit 1206
By Jessica, 5/12/08
My husband and I stayed at unit 1206 in the Valley Isle Resort for our trip to Maui in April 2008. I had read a negative review about this condo prior to our trip but I addressed my concerns with the owner and decided to continue with the rental of this unit. We arrived at the Valley Isle and everything seemed to work like clockwork. Our names were on the welcome board in the lobby and the receptionist gave us our parking permit. We went up to the condo and all in all it was a great rental. This condo has a sensational ocean view and many nights we sat on the patio and watched the sunset as it was such a beautiful sight. There are only a couple things I could mention as complaints and both are pretty trivial. When we arrived, the drain in the shower wasn’t draining properly so I called maintenance and within two hours the situation had been resolved (all while we were enjoying the day at the beach). The owner had told me that beach towels would be provided for our stay. There were plenty of towels provided but I didn’t locate any beach towels in the condo (luckily we had brought our own). Some of the items provided in the condo beyond what a normal accommodation may provide are as follows: beach mat, fins, mask, snorkel, boogie boards, beach chairs, microwave, flashlight, hangers, hair dryers, several ice trays (good for packing a cooler with ice each day), tour books/magazines, numerous chairs/furniture provided for seating, and trash bags (very handy for carrying things to and from the beach, extra clothes, wet items, etc). The service of the management company during our stay was superb and the owner’s communication was professional and responsive. We had a great time in Maui and I recommend this condo to any Maui traveler.

Don't rent unit #1206
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/10/07
The valley Isle Resort is a very well cared for complex. The public areas, grounds and pool are immaculate. The gas grills and tables were always readily available and clean. The area is within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The condos have direct ocean front balconies. (This complex is actually in Kahana, not Lahania). We would consider staying here again, but never in unit #1206. We have seen other units and they were lovely, as expected. We invited people into our unit and they were equally horrified. I booked directly with the owner through his website. Unfortunately, his website looked much better than the condo itself! Owner also rents out condo #806. The neglect was present throughout the unit. I had many other photos I didn't have room to include here, such as standing water in the tub after a shower, the rusted shower rod, burned bathroom vanity, and dead bugs in the bathroom light fixture. The fully equipped kitchen did not have a dishwasher. Questionable cleaning methods of the previous renters resulted in stained dishes and eating utensils. The kitchen faucet sprayed back at you when turned on. The leaning stove was propped up with a sponge. There were two dish drain racks under the kitchen sink (along with a gallon can of paint), but no drain rack pan. The Tephlon pan was scummy and peeling. The manual can opener was gunky and rusted. There were pots and storage bowls without lids. The interior of the microwave was burned. The bathroom sink was rusted with loose scummy faucets. The medicine cabinet was rusted. The vanity drawers had to be lined with paper towels. The one and only closet housed rusted beach chairs and carpet scraps. In the closet was also a new sink in a box dated December 2000. I wouldn't use the dirty ironing board or the gummy iron. Obviously, we were VERY disappointed with this condo. We had spent the previous week at a lovely Marriott in Kauai. We went from the Marriott to the "Scaryiott". It's not my nature to complain, but I felt it was absolutely necessary in this case. A trip to Hawaii is a once in a life time trip for most of us. I wouldn't want anyone else to feel the major disappointment as we did, after walking through the front door.

breath taking ocean view !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/15/06
My husband and I just arrived home today from Maui, where we stayed at the valley isle resort room 1210. We loved the room, very clean, anything you could think of you needed was right there down to the beach chairs. Our 25th wedding anniversary was perfect thanks to Mary the 1210 owner!!!! Maui will always be in our hearts .

Honeymoon!!!!
By MarkT, 11/15/05
My wife and I was there in July! We had a great time staying at the Valley Isle Resort!! The pool was nice and the room was well kept.(very clean). There was plenty of choices to go out for dinner(within walking distance). There is a Bar across the street with a good Happy Hour!!!!! Whenever we get to go back we will stay at the Valley Isle Resort!!!!

What a vacation!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/7/05
Valley Isle Resort is a spectacular place to stay. This is the best vacation we have ever had. The rental prices were very reasonable and the resort is right on the beach and everything was perfect. We watched sunsets every night from our lanai and you can even go down to the beach and listen to the locals blow their conch shells at sunset. It is very authentic Hawaiian. This the highest recommendation we can possibly give! They have a group of owners who have their own website -- if you search on Valley Isle Resort you will find it.

AWESOME!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/05
We have stayed at The Valley isle Resort for the past 3 years, and it is a fantastic bargain for the price. It is right on the beach in Kahana which is a very quiet area but still close to all the action in Kaanapali and Lahaina. The property is very well kept up, and the views are spectacular. Don't miss the sunsets right on the beach with the locals as they blow their conches as the sun sets and listen to the stories they have to tell.

Nice place - good price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/17/04
We've stayed here by renting from owners. This is one of the more reasonably priced beachfront condos in Maui. The rental quality varies widely from unit to unit depending on the owners. The nicest view units are the ones that end in 10 because they have 270 degree ocean views. All the units ending in 10, 08,and 04 have one bedroom and the living area with beachviews. The 06 and 07 units are studios and have the a beachfront view, many have a "murphy bed" arrangement to give more living area during the day. The 01, 02, and 03 units are in the back of the building and are partial views.

Valley Isle Resort
By Grumpy, 7/1/04
Valley Isle Resort was a quiet modest place to stay. It was full of mautre residents and it was nice. We spent time in the pool and on the beach. You can be in the thick of the action in a few minutes, but I didnt mind haveing some peace and quiet. The room it self was very basic and pretty much no frills accomodations.
