What a Huge Mistake!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/28/09
first the location is in the industrial area surrounded by shady bars & people I dont wish to make eye contact with, kinda ghetto. at night guest come back at all hours with no consideration. carrying on conversations as if it was a playground in the afternoon. I assume theres no security I could be wrong but it sure seemed like it. Would not recomend , no WARNING!!! if you are traveling with family DO NOT STAY HERE!!! unless your way of income is illegal.

You do not want to stay here...ever.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/28/07
The neighborhood made us fear for our lives as there is a homeless colony camped in the park. The small room was overpriced and in no way resembled the picture on the website. We can say that the pool area was nice. There are no restaurants nearby other than the restaurant in the hotel. As others have noted, it is extremely noisy. For the same price, we would recommend staying in Waikiki and taking a cab to the airport.

I wouldn't stay here
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/06
The hotel was barely adequate. The employees were nice enough, but the room was not. The room was very small and the pictures on the hotel's website are not an accurate representation of the condition of the room. There were no amenities and no extras, not even a bath tub. The furniture was old and beat-up, and the sheets were stained. While the hotel is near the airport, it is not located in a nice area of Honolulu, and I did not feel safe while staying there. I wish that I would have paid a little more to stay somewhere else. I would not recommend this hotel, not even for just a place to crash.

Only because of convenience
By DeborahY, 02/04/06
Certainly not what I prefer, but after a long flight from the mainland we needed a place close to the airport to catch a few hours sleep before flying to the Big Island early the next morning. Outward appearance was questionable, as was the interior at first glance. But the bed and bathroom were clean. The employees were pleasant. We had a great breakfast at the restaurant that is connected to the motel--the waitress was very nice. Since it had an airport shuttle, we didn't have to rent a car there. I would really have been upset if I had paid more the the Priceline rate I bid on and received. Our room was on the 2nd floor; I didn't hear much after going to sleep; my husband, who is a lighter sleeper than I am, heard people outside most of the night. For our particular situation it was acceptable.

OK, but others are better.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/25/05
Noisy air conditioner. Not well maintained. I will stay at the Waikiki Sands Villa next time even though they were a less convenient location and charged $10 per day for parking because the facility was in better condition and the rooms were quieter and had free internet access.

I'm sure there is something better
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/24/05
The Inn is located between a highway (Nimitz, traffic, sirens, etc.) and a seaplane (they seem to be louder than normal airplanes) landing strip. We had to keep the air conditioner on at night to drown out the noise. What didn't help was the 11/2 in. gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. If you call to the front desk for anything, you better be prepared to go fetch it yourself. They don't bring anything (extra towels, cups, etc.) to your room. As for ice, it's in a big bin in the bar. There is no scoop so you either use your hands or try to use the bucket. If you are with a "rehabilitated" alcoholic (like I was) this could be bad. It wasn't all bad, we did get to leave the room everyday that we were there. Oh yeah, the pool is NOT heated nor clean and gets quite Cold.
