Georgia Coast Inn, Jekyll Island

My family really enjoyed this Inn. We always looked forward to the simplicity of the whole. We could look forward to a great pool experienc as well as the avalibility of the beach, with out a lot of unneccesary, and expensive frills. We miss the Georgia Coast Inn. It was a great place for a family on a budget to enjoy Jekyll.

Hello I read the reviews of the Georgia Coast Inn. Honestly I didn't know it was a Ramada Inn- or I had forgotten. It was first a Stuckey's Carriage Inn, then an Atlantic Carriage Inn, then a Georgia Coast Inn from what I gather. My only experience with the inn was visiting their restaurant. The salad was nothing spectacular. This was in 1987. It is a closed hulk that seemed to have hard luck due to its aesthetics and location. Few go on that side of the island. A view of the back end reveals broken windows and flapping curtains. Thankfully the new Days Inn will help draw people to South Beachview. But the Jekyll Convention and Visitors Bureau advises the facility will be renovated though it is boarded up and fenced in.

I loved the Georgia Coast Inn! The rooms were fabulous. I could not get enough of the shower!(It had a shower head on each side of the shower.)The pool is so cool. It is in the shape of Georgia. When I got home I couldn't stop telling my friends that I had swam across Georgia. I go stay on Jekyll Island at least two times a year and I always Stay at the Ga Coast Inn. It is a wonderful place to take your family because Summer Waves is down the road. It is a fun water park. It is very romantic if you take a lover with you. If your alone you can go sit in the pool house and meet some new people. Well if your planning on going to Jekyll, make sure your stay at the Ga Coast Inn. Alyssa Suter, Pa
