My husband and I flew into Ft. Lauderdale and stayed at this Best Western on the Bay for a four day weekend. The hotel was wonderful, overlooking the beautiful Biscayne bay and we ate on the waterfront at Shuckers next door every chance we could. We will definitely stay here again...MUCH nicer than pricey South Beach spots in Miami for the money!

Very Happy with the Facilities

My wife & I stayed here on friday night, Feb. 22, 2008 on vacation to the Florida Keys from Denver. We enjoyed the stay, and would go back. This is an older (70's) motel that is being remodeled. It is in a great location, on Treasure Island, on the bay, with a wonderful view. Our standard room had a king bed and new carpet and paint, and everything they advertised. It was clean, comfortable, convenient, quiet, good service, and priced lower than others in the area, which are going for $150+ per night. There was dedicated free guest parking with an attendant. The free breakfast was equal or better than most, and in a beautiful setting, either inside or on the patio. The pool is not in season, but added to the view. Shuckers restaurant is on the bay side of the motel overlooking the docks, and was very popular, with motel guests and locals of all ages arriving by car and boat. The food was very good and reasonably priced. We split a seafood dinner with an extra salad and wine for about $40 with tip, and it was one of the best experiences on our vacation. The only negatives we had are that the remodeling is in progress, not completed, and that smoking guests had crushed cigarettes on the handrail and thrown them in the stairwell.

I have stayed at this motel many many times and have always been satisfied with the friendliness of the staff and the price. the rooms are clean and accomadating.

Great Room for the price!

The restaurant/club was downstairs from our room. somewhat loud. But we were never in our room to really notice the extent of noise.Very large room. great for the price. we will definitely go back again sometime :)

Great for the money!

The exit from I-95 was a little scary - close quarters with homeless hangout. But once we made the turn onto 79th street it got progressively better as we neared the hotel. The hotel itself was great - very clean and well maintained especially for the price. The staff was helpful and polite. The onsite restarant had pretty good food. (It was better the second night than the first.) The continental breakfast was excellent. The choices were varied and the juices were wonderful. The location was great for a fmaily. It was far enough away from Miami that we didn't have to deal with noisy partiers at night but close enough that we were just minutes from the beach. Even the drive into Little Havana was fairly quick taking into account big city traffic and all the construction going on in downtown Miami. Overall it was a nice, clean friendly place and we would definitely stay here again.

I love the hotel and staff very friendly.they assisted me in every way.i have many incounters with one of the staff he was a plesent man and went out of his way to help me w/directions.I have told all of my friends about the wounderful experiance that i had there and that was earlier last year and i am due to check in next month..thank you and your staff... Great Value

I needed to spend two mid-week days at this location because my home was being tented and it is close to where I live. The room was large and real clean and the bed real comfortable. I found the staff to be helpful and available for any requests. The bar and food staff were very pleasant even though the weather wasnot. Good food great staff and a reasonable priced room..I'll come back.

we loved this place so close to the beach the staff were so helpful to us it was our first time in florida. we were a little nervous but when we asked for help we were always given time to be told about different places we wanted to go. we are planning to stay there with our children on the 26th of april to the 29th of 2006.. we have told several people of this place from newfoundland and you will be expecting a few people from our province in march of this year. we have been talking about this place to our children and friends for a year now they must be getting sick of listening to us talk about it. we can't wait for april to come back with our children this time.....

Hooked on great fun!!!!

We stayed here august 2004 before our cruise. It is great for the service you get we loved the cute Bayview room and the food is wonderful and great atmosphire. We are staying here again this next august too.. You wont be sorry, The cab ride to pier is reasonable rate to get there. Try it youll like it!!!!!
