Ramada Inn Suites Kennedy Space Center, Titusville

I was worried about staying here at first, because some website had two really terrible reviews, but the dates on them made me realize they were talking about the year of the hurricanes. This motel is clean and well maintained. Not only was the staff very helpful, they also take the discount coupons from the Interstate Traveller magazine, which is available in may locations throughout Florida - including the on-site Dennys restaurant. That makes the rate lower than the published one, and unlike many motels that advertise in the guide, this one applies the rate as long as they have available rooms. The accessible room they gave me had neither roll-in shower, nor hand-held (moveable) shower heads; there was a bath bench (which had to be used lengthwise), but it was adequate for my needs. The room clerk let me check the room first to see if it would be ok. There is free high speed internet access in the room. If you don't like Dennys, there are dozens of restaurants withing a mile, and even more a little more distant, but easily reached by car. the motel is right near the interstate, but far enough away that you don't hear it at all. I have no problem recommending it - and if you see those bad reviews from several years ago, don't worry. It has been repaired and renovated (which I can't say for every "discount" motel in Brevard county). I was not there on vacation, so I relly did not notice if there was a pool - and there is nightlife in the area, but not at the motel, unless you think a 24 hour Dennys is nightlife.
