Best bar around!!!

We had a great experience. The hotel is in the best location! Loved the pool and the beach. A few tips...the restaurant is not good at all, horrible service and food. (There are great restaurants nearby.) But great coffee in the lobby. The Tiki bar bartender, Bruce is so friendly and fun, he really made the trip for me and my family. Don't bother trying to get a drink when the young kid (in his 20's) is bartering, he ignores the customers and has an attitude. We spend those days by the beach with our cooler when the young kid was working. It was funny because we met other couples who did the same thing. Great hotel- lovely grounds.

Just returned - can't wait to go back!

Location, Location, Location! The hotel is right on the beach, provides beach chairs, very short walk from beach to hotel pool and bar, the property looks like a postcard. We were at Sanibel for Christmas vacation. The island provided many things to do over the holiday and was very busy. The Holiday Inn offered bikes for rent and there were lots of people biking all over the island.

Totally relaxing!!

I must admit for a Holiday Inn; this place is outstanding. The location is excellent and you have the option of using the pool or the beach. They are about 50yds apart and they provide beach chairs. The grounds are kept very nice and the hammocks are quite relaxing. The rooms come with a frig and microwave so you can stock up on some drinks and snacks. This is the place for a couple to get away and just watch the world go bye. Great place to catch up on your reading too. If there is any downside to this place is that you cannot see the sunset. The best place to do that is on Captiva which is about a 15-20 minute drive away.

Going back in a week!!!

I stayed here July of 2004 for my honeymoon and could not have been happier. Right on the beach, tiki bar by the pool very clean and has a very tropic feel, staff is very friendly and helpful and gift shop sells food late! Will be staying here again in a week! Can't wait!
