Very Nice Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/19/11
The rooms were clean and smelled great. The staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed 5 nights in this hotel and every day when we were seen by an employee they smiled, said hello and offered their assistance. We were traveling with my elderly mother and two of our grand children and we were treated with such kindness throughout all areas of the hotel. I have stayed in Winter Haven three or four times a year and have never had such a good experience at any other hotel. This is the place to stay!!!

THIS PLACE IS A DUMP
By PMN, 4/12/11
Could not get into room with room key until we tried 6-8 times. Could not turn water on in the shower with out playing with knob. Bugs in the room. Light on vanity worked intermittently. I was with a group and several had the same problems.

Will go back....but
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/09
These hotel was nice looking on the outside but when we found our room (we had trouble finding the room. the hotel is built around a pool and when you look on the outside you see rooms but they did not tell us that you had to go up stairs to the middle to get to our room) anyway, the room was clean. BUT, all the things that was said to be in it was not there. we had trouble with the key lock on the door. the covers was very hard n stiff. not comfortable. the hotel could use a little fix up. but, it was a place to stay. at least you could walk to cypress garden n splash mountian. that was cool

Beware!! When staying at this hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/16/09
Beware!!! My experience at this hotel was very terrifying! I was a solo female, business traveller attending a conference function that evening and checked in late. Because it was so late I asked for an interior room, when I checked out the room it had an adjoining room with a very insecure lock between the rooms, so I asked for a different room. Back at the front desk I was told they only had exterior rooms available. I didn't feel to good about this room either because I had to force the door shut to close it, but it was late so I took it. I pushed the table and chair to the door to secure it and I'm glad I did. At 3 am in the morning a guy with a key to my door tried to get into my room. When I heard the noise at the door I jumped out of bed and slammed the table and chair against the door to keep him out. I looked through the window and asked what he wanted, he said he was the security guy for the hotel and told me I wasn't suppose to be in the room. I called the front desk told them what was happening and they confirmed the guy was their security guy, but didn't give an explanation why he had a key to get in my room and was trying to get in, the front desk guy apologized and offered to comp my room. Needless to say, I packed up right then, called my husband and kept him on the phone until a local friend to came to pick me up to take me to a safer location. The next business day I called the management staff (front desk manager and general manager) to report the incident but only got their voice mail. I left several messages relaying my experience but never heard from anyone up to this date. I would never stay there again. Beware!!!

Great price, clean rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/27/06
For a family weekend getaway this place was great. The rooms aren't new, but are very clean and the staff were all extremely friendly. Location is great (right on property with Cypress Gardens) too! They even have a putt putt golf course on property. If you go, you have to try Christy's Steak & Seafood for great food at reasonable prices. It's a really neat experience.

Location, Location, Location
By Chris, 9/9/05
When one is visiting Cypress Gardens, there is no better place to stay. Although renovations were underway and it was a bit inconvenient to get from the lobby to one's room, it was well worth it so as to be close to the park. My six year old son and I stayed two nights and our room was located within the courtyard overlooking both the lushly landscaped courtyard and the theme park. I will be making the same trip this upcoming weekend and look forward to staying at this hotel. (hopefully renovations will be near completion :)

Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/25/05
The Hotel is located at the gates of Cypress Gardens. We took our children and there was somthing for everyone. The kids enjoyed the pool and the minigolf, and we enjoyed the restaurant and the lounge.
