Embassy Suites Orlando - North, Altamonte Springs

Embassy Suites buffet at $35 adult, $19 kids was not even close to their ad. I have had better buffets at Golden Corral for $10! Overall rating .5 out of 5.

We have stayed in every Embassy in North and South Carolina and parts of Georgia and Florida . Never in any of our visits have we been so upset with a hostess. "Yvonne " embarrassed us to no extent. Arriving early we requested checking in early ,Shawn was quite nice explains that our room should be ready around 12:30 to 1:00 And that someone would call us. Around 1:00 we returned to the Hotel and finding Yvonne ,the only person on duty informed us that our room would not be ready until 3 or 4 O'Clock. We told her what Shawn had stated. She replied "rudely" that Shawn was off duty and she was in charge now. My wife stated that we would wait for the room stating she was a lite smoker and asked if she could smoke on the balcony. That seemed to set off Yvonne to offer us a free lecture on hotel policy as well as her personal history of giving her husband an ultimative to quit smoking or leave her and their kids. All the while others guest were watching and listening. Yes ,we were quite embarrassed. Again Yvonne lectured on what fines would be settled to our bill if she smoked on the Balcony ,and how spotless the hotel was kept. . None the less we left the hotel again still waiting on our promised early check in. Finally we received a call around 1:40 that our room was ready. With no smile from Yvonne we received our room keys. Our room was very nice until we open our balcony door only to find cigarette butts on the balcony floor. We didn't even bother to report this to Yvonne or the fact that others were smoking on their balconies. We had been lectured enough for one day. I tried to rebook another Embassy Suites as I no longer wanted to stay at this hotel. Booking and paying through Expedia kept my reservation locked to Embassy Orlando North. Thats a mistake I wont be making again. We honestly feel as a hostess Yvonne is lacking in customer appreciation, and for some reason she felt it necessary to lecture us in front of other customers. Much less it was an experence we would care less to experence again. Yvonne is the main reason we would not stay at Embassy Orlando North ever again

The rooms were outdated and old. The toliet did not flush correctly in our bathroom. The towel rack in the shower was rusted and about to fall off the wall. Our room was not cleaned one day (we had to call at 6pm to have someone clean our room. Room Service trays were left in the hallway for days. The Hotel Staff was very rude and not in the least bit helpful. My family was there along with my sister, my mother and some friends of ours. My sister paid for all the rooms. The Hotel staff billed my sister for all 4 rooms and then charged everyone seperately for their rooms. The Hotel Manager was made aware of the error 5 different times and it is still not fixed. Please think twice before spending your hard earned money at this Hotel. The staff is terrible, the rooms are old and dirty...

On my 2nd to last visit (hubby convinced me to come here again), there was a flying roach in our room, which I called housekeeping to kill. This was around 10 or 11 pm. The next morning we received our bill, which had a pay per view movie (No, it was Speed Racer) charged to it and we did not watch that. We were watching something else. My complaint about this hotel is that the manager on duty, will not mention her name, refused to believe me and remove the charge. I had to request to speak with the General manager for her to remove the charge as a "one-time courtesy". Whatever happened to the customer is always right? I guess this hotel has never heard of that one.

We live in Port Richey and whenever we go to the Orlando area, which is about 5 times a year, we stay at the Embassy Suites Orlando - North. To us it is a perfect location right off of I-4. The all you can eat breakfast made to order is fantasitic!! We love to take a stroll on the boardwalk. I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is quite pretty inside with the landscaping and waterfalls. The breakfast and happy hour manager reception was quite nice. However, NOT kid friendly. Be prepared to have to escort your children everywhere lobby, hallways, elevators after a certain hour in the day. I was not clear what magic time this was. Kids were constantly questioned if not accompanied by an adult. I would not go back with kids...too much of a hassle!!

We had an awful experience staying here. Nothing seem to work in the room. The very first day, the heat wasn't working and they had Maintenance come in and fix it. Next the bedroom door won't close because the smoke detector was obstructing it. Complained about it to the front desk and when we returned in the evening there was a note saying "this problem cannot be fixed"!! The same night again the heat won't work and this time Maintenance is not available to fix it. So they had us sleep in a different room. Next day tried to heat some leftovers and the microwave won't work...it's just so frustrating..I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room was exceptional! Staff very courteous and helpful. We ate twice at the Omaha Steakhouse (on premises) and food/waitstaff were wonderful and helped us with the "short cuts" to get to Disney World attractions. The manager's nightly "happy hour" was an unexpected, though quite nice surprise. Be sure to experience the "free" breakfast each morning....food and staff were great! Overall, this was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at for a few days.
