Excellent, except for elevators

The service was excellent at the Tiki bar for a large group. The sailboat rental was nice and convenient. The staff was excellent. The price was too much for the inconvenience of the elevators not working. 4 out of 5 days there was a problem with the elevators and had to use stairs. A smoke alarm went off and it took over 15 minutes for the emergency squad to get there and longer to get it cleared. Way below average for handicapped access.

hallways need an update

We have been visiting this property for many years and have just returned from our recent visit. The staff as usual was wonderful but we couldn't help but notice how shabby the hallways are looking...stained carpets and torn wallpaper...time for an update.

comfort and convenience

We first found this place in 2009, looking for a quiet place to celebrate our anniversary with a sunset and Gulf view. We were so impressed with everything about the place, we came back in 2010, and plan to for years to come. Cleanliness, friendliness of the staff and the convenience of the beachfront amenities are perfect for us. With the Gulf view room, the sunsets are incredible. From our room, we could almost reach out and touch the tops of the palm trees that are around the Tiki deck. The beds are what you expect from Doubletree, very comfortable, and you don't have to wish you had brought your pillow from home. The pillows are fluffy and plenty. The beach is well maintained and super clean, and the beach boy manager is really on top of things if you want to rent a beach cabana for the day for a nominal fee. A few steps from the cabanas, you can order a cold beverage or great food from the Tiki Bar. North Redington Beach is conveniently located from John's Pass to Clearwater restaurants and entertainment. This will be our destination for Florida vacations for years to come.

Much nicer inside than outside. Hotel has been renovated and is definitely up there with other nice placesa to stay. Can't beat the Gulf view. Highly recommend it!

Beautiful view, very comfortable beds

The staff here was cheerful and extremely accommodating. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, and we like the many pillows. The rooms were very clean and updated. The only thing I would complain about is that they don't allow for much of a late checkout. Our plane was leaving late in the afternoon, so we really hoped we could hang out for a couple of hours longer.

Excellent place to stay!!!

My husband and I went for a late honeymoon and we had no complaints about hotel. Everything was great. Hotel was very clean and the beds were the most comfortable ever!! The view was breathtaking and very quiet. It was a great place to relax and you are away from all the crowds, which I like. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I am already planning our next trip and I can not think of anywhere I would rather be!! Worth the money

Going back for a second time

Doubletree was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and the view of the gulf was amazing. We loved that it was between the busier areas of Clearwater and Treasure Island. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We loved it so much we are going back for a second time in less than a year.

Reliable quality.... will book again

Exceptionally clean and comfortable. I love the coffee brand they supply in the rooms, its the best I have ever had. Stayed in a room that had a view of the coastal waterway, which is beautiful. Clean towels to use on the beach waiting for you stacked by the pool, which was clean as well. Felt very secure staying here in every respect. Got a government rate which was very nice as well. Very satisfied.

Loved everything, very clean room, staff very nice. Room very comfortable, beach not very busy. Linens cleaned everyday.... Resturant very nice. not to far from tampa. very easy to get to....

looking forward to next stay

great location the staff at reception were first class we stayed here for two nights in sept 07, the room was clean and bed very comfortable, great access to beach enjoyed the view of the sunset over the gulf coast, can not fault this hotel would recommend that anyone on holiday in orlando take at least two days out and stay at this hotel you will not regret it. In addition to the hotel being first class there is lots to do in the area would recommend ST Johns Point for lots of eateries and boat trips for dolphin sighting and boat / jet ski hire
