Should have brought the RV.

First of all, very beautiful location, - sunsets and all. BUT, the staff, (not so much the foriegn staff) but the American staff were clueless. Most that we ran into were rude, acted like you were a burden, and very un-informative. They must have assumed you've been there long enough to know everything about their hotel and Naples within your first 24 hours of being there. And don't try to order dessert at their restaurant (HB's Grille) only at 5pm- they'll act like they're doing you a favor by allowing you to not purchase a dinner as well and put you in the far far back of the outside section behind a palm tree in the hot sun. And when we asked to move we were told there are tables reserved for 5:30. The place was empty- no joke and it was 5:15. We stayed for 20 minutes to eat our dessert and got the heck out of there. We had even eaten there before and my father was the president of the association that held a convention at this hotel for a long weekend. I guess it doesn't matter who you are, some staff here are bound to treat you like you don't matter. Beds were uncomfortable, our room had toenail clippings on the patio- called concierge two different times and it was busy, left a message for them to call back or bring us what we needed- never heard back from anyone. The beach protocal was fairly unknown to me, being from the north, and the staff looked about 12 and had no clue that maybe they should tell me a chair and umbrella would cost me $40 a day. A chair alone $6. It's a public beach, but maybe after paying $250 a night we could get the flippin beach chair for free, since I wasn't going to sit there all day and fry. But ofcourse the pool chairs are all open. Just disappointed in the organization and direction/care they seem to NOT give to their guests! I think they need some major training in the hospitality/organization department.
