It disappoints!
By Kristin, 01/15/09
We stayed at the Mayfair for New Years. Would not go back. We asked for the hot tub to be activated and had to wait an hour and call down to the front desk to get staff to come and activate it. Waited another hour for it to fill and heat as instructed and got in. It was broken and flooded the hotel room. The next night they moved us to a different room, but our plans didn't allow us to use the hot tub again with the whole activation process (very lengthy and inconvenient) and everything. We ordered room service for breakfast and never received it. The staff was not friendly or accommodating. I never got breakfast despite speaking with a manager. Would not recommend the Mayfair. Had better service at much more reasonably priced hotels. When you pay for a hotel like the Mayfair you expect great service and a comfortable stay. It disappoints!

Great Experience

This hotel was very classy and relaxing. I plan to go back this summer and stay there with some friends, I have been talking about it since my stay.

Terrible service..
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/25/08
Not worth it. Our room was small (although pretty). Staff was exceptionally rude and uncooperative in returning an item left in the room. Will never return.

Unfriendly Service, Loud and Light Room
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/23/07
The location is fantastic and the hotel is beautiful. The staff is not helpful and quite unfriendly. The dryer, TV remote, and hot tub didn't work. Staff didn't care or try to help. There was LOUD music until 5:15 a.m. (I know because we were still awake). There were no blinds to block the light. We tried to switch rooms, but the hotel staff refused. It was one of the worst nights I have ever experienced at ANY hotel. I would rather stay at the Motel 8.

lOVE THE CLEANLINESS, AND AMMENITIES LIKE THE PIANO, HOT TUB, TV ON THE BATHROOM. WOOD LIKE,ICE MAKER ACCESABLE TO THE ROOM/S, WITHOUT HAVING TO ASK FOR ROOM SERVICE. and A SMALL FREEZER, for beverage. Other than that, found your Hotel to be Prime, comfortable, convenient, excellent service.

My vacation at The Mayfair Hotel and Spa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/15/07
I adored this hotel, the hotel was clean, the service was excellent, the staff was friendly, warm and welcoming. The decor of this hotel is beautiful, our suite was warm and private. The Jurlique spa is amazing, totally relaxing and comfortable. The staff at the spa made myself and my finace feel at home, i would like to personally thank Belkis and Ninoshka for making us feel welcome and comfortable. You two made us feel like family. Overall, this hotel is wonderful, we will be visiting again very soon. great area, tons to do, shopping on cocowalk, clubbing at oxygen or vision, excellent dining ..... loved IT!!!!

The Best Of The Best !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/24/07
My family and I had stayed at the Mayfair Hotel in June of 2006. It had been recommended by family as one of the best hotels in the Miami area. It was the Best of the Best. The Coconut Grove area was a great vacation for us. But coming back to the Mayfair to relax was wonderful. The staff treats you like royalty, the rooms are spot on perfect, and the beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept on. Plan your next vacation, or romantic getaway at the Mayfair, Coconut Grove Fl. We are already planning ours. It truly is the Best of the Best

A nice place to stay but ...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/17/07
I stayed at the hotel from March 12 to 16, 2006. Although beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms and nice view inside the hotel, the restaurant experience was awful. On my arrival, I came to know that the restuarant is closed at 10 pm and you can order room service. At the time of breakfast, I came to know that croissants are not available. At the time of my departure in early morning, I was told by the reception clerk that they could not transfer the account from one credit card to the other, about which I gave them instructions the previous night.

Pet Friendly, Nice, Noisy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/26/07
The hotel is beautiful and our room, although small, was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the big TV and free internet connection. It's located in the heart of Coconut Grove which is both a blessing and a curse...lots of shops and restaurants nearby...but unfortunately we were kept awake every night between 2 and 4 am by people partying at the clubs outside our hotel room. Also, when we pay $25 for valet parking, we expect the valets to open both the driver's and passenger's (lady's) side. We took our small dog and enjoyed walking around Coconut Grove with him. There is a nice dog park a few blocks from the Mayfair.
