The Maverick, Ormond Beach

Been owners for 25 years. Small studio unit but clean. Pool area is large, plenty of space to relax,eat,read and swim. Restaurant simple but good food. Not a place with up to date luxuries but a simple clean place for great memories. Karaoke night will never be forgotten. Will see you in a couplt of weeks.

I love the full view of the beach that this resort offers from my room and the relaxing large pool to lounge around. This place is the beach at its best - go to beach, eat, drink, go to pool, eat, drink, start over... and their restaurant is good Florida food reasonably priced.

5 STAR all the way.My wife and I have owned the month of March(timeshare) for over 25 years.Over the years it has shown great improvements.The rooms are always kept clean.The housecleaning is second to none.It is very queit,but so close to all the wonders of Daytona Beach.The staff is excellent.The breakfast and lunch is cheap and excellent!Money could not buy the 25 years we've spent at the Maverick.We have made friends to last a life time.Well worth the money.Due to my wife's health,we have not returned since 04,but all my friends say it is still excellent.I will let my son and grandson enjoy many years of pleasure as my wife and I did.I loved looking forward to the month of March.I was always referred to as "Big Budda" or "The Boss".I thank the Maverick for many good times,and life long friends made..................Roman...

THIS RESORT IS A GREAT PLACE TO VISTE. GREAT VEIW OF OCEAN FROM ALL BALCONY'S. ROOMS GREAT IMPROVEMENT OVER PREVEOUS YEARS. RESTURANT SERVES GREAT FOOD. LOTS OF CLOSE BY SURROUNDING OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND GREAT RESTURANTS IN THE AREA. JUST BEWARE OF INCOMING CALLS FROM OUTSIDE SELLERS{TIMESHARE}. SUITE TRAVEL/SUITECHOICE LOCATED ACROSS STREET BEHIND 7/11. OFFERING VALUE DEALS, DON'T FALL FOR THEIR PROGRAM(S).

The rooms have good little kitchenettes in them, fridge and microwave. They put good little freebies in the bathrooms, and there are some nice shops over the road including a 7 eleven. Good pool, good hot tub and the people were reallly nice,loved it there : )

I have been going there since i was a kid and its great you can drive on the beach in daytona there are plenty of things to do close by the hotel..they have great breakfast a nice pool and beach view without the big prices, also it may be a tad beat up on the outside but the inside is cozzy and comfy. there are people of all kinds young n old and from all over that stay there a great mix.

I have gone to the maverick scince I was a child,now I have my own I'm goin back with them and my wife. My parents kept us going as kids and now I am an adult I havent known anyother place but the maverick so why change?Have met alot of people over the years and I still see them,Not the Hiltons but my life style isnt like the famous people.Cant wait to see you all soon!!!!

What we like most is the value for the money. It is oceanfront with an outdoor patio, pool, hot tub and grills. There are people of all ages having fun. It was clean, smelled good and had all the conveniences of home. Close to anything and everything you could want.Yet quiet beachfront.If something broke..it was fixed immediately. What ever we asked for was taken care of quickly. It has been remodeled and kept up to date. It wasn't the Ritz but we were very happy and even had room for friends to come visit and sleep. So we will go back again and again!

we were in a tiny studio apt. It was dingy and dirty. The lighting was terrible and the toilet kept stoppping up. I would not return.the Internet only worked one day. The activities were non-existant. They only had ice cream every day at 1:00. the board in the lobby listed 4 activities which were there , the same 4, all week long but none of them every happened. Bad, bad choice

The Maverick turned out to be a wonderful deal for the money! The location is perfect! This establishment is right on the beach and the only thing between your room and the beach is the huge pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, and generous deck with loads of lounge chairs and gas grills. I was easily able to cook for our family of five either in the room or ocean side using their grills. We picnicked nearly every day. I loved that we could exchange our towels as much as we wanted, as I have 3 kids who were in and out of the water all day long. There is a restaurant on site, which we ate breakfast at daily. The food was reasonably priced and tasty, service was warm and friendly, and it overlooks the ocean. Even the laundry facility overlooks the ocean here! We rented the "studio" which gave us a full kitchen equipped with all of the basics, a sofa sleeper, and a queen size bed. We elected to get a roll away bed for our third child and he was happy as a clam. An extra bonus was a sliding windowish like partition in the room that provided complete privacy for the queen bed. This felt like a one bedroom unit as a result. You could also slide it back to reveal a full ocean view for the entire unit and it allowed that beaufiful ocean breeze to come through. The room was very clean and well kept. The only thing I didn't like is the room had an air freshner over the door that was entirely unneccesary, and triggered my daughter's asthma. The friendly staff took it out within five minutes of our request, and once the room aired out it was odor free and lovely. Our view was centered over the pool, which allowed us to keep an eye on the kiddies while we were on our balcony. The facility offers free wifi in the lobbey and "activity room", but we found that the wifi reached our studio so it was not necessary to go downstairs. It was really convienent. Wonderful! Activities were also offered daily, with a craft session daily that was a favorite of our girls. Our family could walk to nearby souvienier shops and stores too, which we enjoyed. Locally there is a lot to do for the family as well, as it is only a few miles from Daytona. All of the convienence and none of the crowds. We were here Christmas week; the facility was full, yet it never once was loud or felt crowded. Very cool! We will absolutely go back here again! A super value for the money!
