Maverick Resort, Ormond Beach

I would have to give the highest recommendation to the staff for thier service and friendly attitude. The room we stayed in was nice and the rest of the hotel was well kept. If traveling to Florida again I would recommend staying here.

I loved the activites that include our children, they exspecially liked build a sundae for a dollar, that shoild be every other day at noon! We also loved the Bingo games of course we won YEA! and the family dinner where we all brought a covered dish and ate hot dogs! very nice group of owners, just very nice people!!!! the staff were very gracious when the kids needed more towels, and went up and down. I have no complaints! But it would be nice if they had some margarittaville music playing by the pool!

We stayed at the Maverick for 11 days and it was the best. The staff were outstanding and will book tours for you, deep sea fishing etc We stayed in a studio suite which was everything anyone would want. Your bed is by the window next to the ocean breeze, everything was so clean and bbq next to the pool. It was very safe and your 2 mins from Daytona Beach. For the price and comfort this place should be a 5 star!!! Frig, stove, microwave, full shower and most of all ...all the units are beach front, not side. Interent in the lobby is free also We are going to stay here next year over Xmas!!

We are owners and love going to The Maverick! The whole resort is always very very clean. The staff is very friendly, and the view of the Atlantic is awesome! I don't understand the negative comments at all.

We only spent one night there but we loved it. Everyone was very friendly at the front desk and in the restaurant. We were asked if we'd like to see the room before we checked in, and we did and were not disappointed at all,it was clean and the perfect size with perfect accomodations. We wanted to stay longer but had other previous plans but we will definately return.

We currently own Week 52 at the Maverick. We absolutely LOVE this resort, but since we have moved from Florida, we can no longer take advantage of our week since distance is an issue. If you are interested, please call Dennis at 870-715-0092.

Nothing good about the place!! Rooms tiny! BedBugs. Staff more than slow and sluggish. $15 for pool towels?? Are you kidding me??

I love everything about this place. The location is the BEST! Close to everything, yet just at the edge so it's quiet and relaxing. I don't know why the previous guy didn't like it, my guess is it wasn't RIGHT in the heart of the action...which is why it's so nice. :) The workers/management are wonderful, I can't imagine why they'd even say such a thing. I've been an owner and going there since 1986, and will continue to go there over ANY other place on the shores. Their loss is my gain... :)

Absolutely hated the Maverick. All the people in the office were very hateful and not at all helpful. Support workers were in hiding and impolite. The location is not close enough to Daytona Beach. Rooms were TINY, but pool area was large with lots of lounge chairs, pool very clean. My husband could not beleive this place. We found somewhere else to stay, with a real room. NEVER go back to the Maverick!!

The location is perfect, just close enough to Daytona Beach, but also far enough away from all the traffic. Rooms were great, pool area very inviting, lots of lounge chairs, pool very clean. We went during Biketoberfest, (my husband is a Harley owner and was in heaven!), Noise level was not too bad; of course we did watch lots of bike traffic from the back balconies. Would definitely go back to the Maverick!!
