Bad experience, stink
Had been warned (maybe on this site) of the moldy smell in this Hotel.
Just spent one night coming from Disney and Ocala visit, as we had returned our rental car and figured we'd use the Hotel jitney( only runs hourly, and not late night
Bad smell and wake-up call not happening led to a bad news visit.
Get on side away from pool and maybe smell is not so bad
Smell was really bad----- moldy-type. Offered new room after complaint, but we were too tired after time at Disney to move ,.
Wake up call scheduled for 5 a.m. Never got any call and missed jitney to airport, Left over an hour late as we had slept over thru fault of Hotel.
Panic that we would miss our flight.
While I was ranting, La Quinta staff credited us with full cost of the room , which meant nothing if we missed the plane.
Luckily I woke up a little after 6 and we had allowed extra time. Got there with 15 minutes to spare before the flight left mostly . because the jitney made its first stop at Delta Song instead of the other airline on their regular schedule,.because of our problem.
When we actually got on the plane, and panic passed, we appreciated the credit to our bill and relaxed.,
A bad, bad experience.
Yes....tipped jitney driver a little generously.
.Price is good if they could get rid of the stink in the rooms (Possible?). Set the alarm yourself in the room, being extra careful with the a.m. and p,m settings,for protection in case the Hotel system is still messed up.
Maybe rooms on side away from pool smell a little better.
