Sometimes Price Isn't Everything
By Kins, 5/12/11
You get what you pay for! I agree with the two most recent reviews below. Terrible, terrible location, front desk clerks were clueless and the rooms and lobby smelled. Just an old, run down hotel in a very, very bad part of town. Shame on Days Inn for keeping it open and hurting their reputation. All I can say about the positive reviews below are that they stayed at the other Days Inn, near the Raymond James Stadium.

DO NOT STAY HERE.....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/09
Booked this hotel for a short 3 night stay while my son was having medical treatment. The price was right, however this was a HUGE mistake. A complete sump. Do not let the photos fool you. This hotel is in a horrible location. Accross the street is a fenced in trailer park with bars on all windows, and most homes look as if they are falling down. It reminded me of something you would see on rap video. Cars with loud music, that bounced up and down. You could not drive down the street without some one yelling at you. The police station is located to the rear, however still not a good idea. Very dirty. I was honestly scared for myself and my son. I attempted to get my money back but was unable to. Unsure if this was policy or if the front desk clerk just could not understand english. I WILL NEVER STAY IN THIS HOLE AGAIN, and urge you to do the same.

Short comfortable stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/11/08
The hotel is a an old laquinta the converted into a Days Inn. Not the Hilton but comfortable beds and big pool. Short and sweet breakfast. $20.00 taxi ride to downtown - not bad at all comparte to big city like New York. Thanks, David

Just look around
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/22/08
We went for an early check in but couldn't... thank goodness! As we looked around the side of the hotel there were homeless people walking around, 3 police cars with 3 different people pulled over, homes that were falling apart or had bars on the windows - scary! Because of the outdide entrance & the area we didn't even lok at the room we wanted to stay somewhere else. The Manager Ms. Mody refused to return our money since it wasn't 72 hours notice. I explained that I would have cancelled earlier had I known what was around the hotel. As a woman traveling I felt unsafe by the area and taken advantage of by the Hotel Manager.

I cannot tell a lie
By Buckeye14, 4/14/08
In twenty years of traveling all across the country, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels ranging from excellent to poor. This hotel broke the mold for "awful hotel". Upon arrival I new I was in for an adventure. The outside grounds were absolutely disgusting. Two homeless individuals were laying outside the office area, the office which I might add was behind thick glass, which is a first for me! Me and my girlfriend proceeded to our room, walking on busted concrete and shocked to see the disgusting nature of our room. We immediately demanded a refund, which the lady obliged in giving it to us. I felt unsafe by being on this property. I cannot see how folks can say its a nice place to stay. This review is 100% true, the date of my stay was July 2006. Maybe things have changed, but based on the current photos, it looks exactly the same.

not bad for price
By Asmita Modi, 3/28/08
Staff is very helpful and kind. I was short on cash so, the manager droped me of to a nearby shopping center as she was going home. Very nice lady. I offered her $5.00 but she declined. The breafast was good and the price not to expensive. I wish more ppl were like the staff at the Days Inn. Jo Jo

Not bad for the price
By SM, 3/16/08
The hotel is nice - the area is being re-vialitzed. The staff is very helpful. Not bad for the price. Location of the hotel...so, so...it's near everthing. Had a good stay, for a great price compare to Downtown's over-rated high prices. Jon

Nice Place
By SM, 3/16/08
I stayed at theDays Inn wiht few of my friends. We had two rooms. the pool view was very nice. The manager let us hang out at the pool after hours and ordered food and taxi for us. The beds wer comfortable and the place a little old but nice. Staff was helpful.
