Might have been "Grand" 10 yrs ago!
By Yahoo User, 10/24/09
This hotel might have been Grand years ago, but now it's dated and worn. It smells bad, nothing worked right in our room, and the only thing more worn out than the room were the unpleasant, non-caring employees who work there. Food was way overpriced, and service terrible. You'd be better off at a Hyatt Regency.

Very good price.
By A Yahoo! User, 06/16/08
I was surprised with the price which is low for a Hyatt (around $150 per night). The hotel was very clean but we had some problems with the wait staff at one of their resturants. Also the parking garage messed up our GPS system.

Never Grand!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/01/07
This hotel looks great in the photos - but do not be fooled. despite paying top dollar I was given a room with a view - over the car park! Service was poor, simply not a nice hotel. I would never stay there again - be warned!!!

Best in Rocky Point, Tampa, Florida area
By Al, 06/17/07
A bargain when combining the hotel with flight reservations. Without a discounted method, this hotel, although very nice, becomes somewhat expensive given relatively similar hotels and services elsewhere. Grounds are delightful and the staff is perhaps the best part. EVERYONE, I mean everyone, was helpful, kind and professional.

The Hotel is great except for the Airport Shutlte Service
By Ari, 05/06/07
The room is great. The shuttle service is very poor. They need more training specially the person that answers the phone for service. I'll be glad to talk to them about this if they get in touch with me.

disaster
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/25/07
I spent 300+$$$ for an exceptional room for my Son and my daughter in law, on their wedding night at this hotel. Two days before their arrival from Atlanta I confirmed their room and notified the hotel of their late arrival. I was assured everything was guaranteed to be perfect. In a manner never expected from a Grand Hyatt, my son arrived to be told their was no room for them at the inn!!! This expensive room had been paid for 2 month's prior and as I mentioned guaranteed to be ready just 2 days prior to their arrival. This sort of treatment should never have happened on their wedding day, and is now a memory they will have forever. Oh, by the way, the manager on duty that night 3/24/07 said she was sorry and they would transfer them to another hotel.....great, huh. Shabby treatment and totally unexpected from the likes of Grand Hyatt.

Fine Hotel
By G. R., 11/08/06
We arrived at this hotel having had to leave a nearby Wyndham at which we originally made reservations because it was filthy. The staff here was willing to accommodate us on short notice, and they were extremely friendly and helpful. The building itself is beautiful (and clean!!), and the restaurant fine. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
