The worst hotel experience ever!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/11
Our room: #104 was poolside, along the service road between the kitchen and the Tiki Bar. Service carts of all sizes and types were pushed next to our room and windows from 9:00 am through 11:00 pm every day. The concrete pavement, with large cracks in between increased the noise of these cars, laden with dishes and supply. I requested a room change, several times during my stay, but I was told that it was not possible because they were full. In order to be able to sleep in this noisy environment I had to move into the bathroom and slept in the shower, which was large enough to accomodate me. And I paid more than $200.00 for this privilage!!!!~!!!?!!!

The Best Memorial Day Weekend we ever had
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/2/10
This was our first time visiting and staying at Ft.Myers Beach, and l must say that the service at this Holiday Inn was outstanding!!!...our room was poolside facing Pinchers, the music was great as we sat outside our room, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Checking in was less than 15 minutes and you got a courtesy call from the front desk asking how did we find the room. The staff at Pinchers were excellent, Terry and Lisa were the best!!, you got poolside service from 11 am til 10 pm...the sunset breath taking. This is the only place l will be staying when l go to Ft.Myers Beach for a weekend again....Thank you all for the great time we had.

Excellent beach, very clean hotel
By Ruth, 2/16/10
My husband and I stayed here Feb 2010 for 3 nights. The accommodations were very, very clean. The bedding soft and comfortable. It is a typical “Motel” style (wherein you step outdoors when you step out of your room), but it was quiet. The motel sits perpendicular to the beach, so you can’t really see the beach from your room, but it’s just a few yards from a huge, soft, white sanded beach. You have to walk about 1000 feet to reach the water, but it’s a nice walk through soft, clean sand. There were only two down sides to this stay. Breakfast is not included in the overnight stay, unfortunately, but there’s a nice restaurant in the motel. We just bought cereal & milk & ate in our room or lunchmeat and bread, etc. for picnics to cut costs. There’s a grocery store and drug store very closeby and a fridge in the room. The other down side is that in order to lay on the beach, you either need to bring y our own chairs, lay on the sand, or rent chairs from them, which cost $25/day, no matter how long you stay there. That’s not the motel fee, that’s a fee from a vendor on the beach. Other than that, there are plenty of souvenir and other shops on the island, a drug store, shops and restaurants within walking distance. Be prepared for some higher food rates. We got ice cream and coffee at a place nearby and it was $19 for two of us. In heavy tourist season, which this was, traffic was heavy, so took nearly 20 minutes to drive three miles up to the other end of the island. The motel staff very friendly and helpful.

Ants
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/2/07
Ants everywhere! All over the bathroom shower... on the vanity... and on my TOOTHBRUSH! Moved to a new room with MORE ants! Location is good and the beach is lovely. But I might try further down Estero Blvd next time.

Were the locals go for vacation!
By MA, 7/28/07
Being locals to the FMB area we like to get away from time to time and this overnight spot does the trick. For a good rate you get a nice room, pool, beach, the Gulf of Mexico and lack of the crowds closer to the fishing pier. You can eat at the hotel restaurant, or pick several restaurants and shops within a short walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. A good overall experience that has us coming back for our mini vacations to the beach.

Our family loved this place!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/8/06
We were Lani Kai refugees and were so happy to find a place so clean, quiet, and just plain wonderful. We were put into an oceanfront room and were so happy with it. The view was beautiful. The staff was very helpful and we really appreciated how we were treated. The food as someone else stated, was a little pricey, however was very large portions and was comparable to surrounding places. The BEACH wow.. it was wonderful .. Its a very deep beach, so you get a little exercise getting out there.. but it also provides relaxation and a large place for your children to play, romp, look for shells, etc. The pool was extremely clean and was great for the kids. There was a good amount of entertainment, but it was not "too" loud to interupt an afternoon nap or sleep at night. This hotel has its bars strategically located to ensure the comfort of their patrons. We loved the location and the whole atmosphere of this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

adequate
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/22/05
If you do not plan on spending much time in your room this is just as the review title states - adequate. The room was very small and confining, however the room was clean and the beach beautiful.

Too bad they aren't listed with Expedia anymore!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/27/05
It was nice, quiet away from the pool, hotel is right on the sand, but it's a little walk to the actual beach. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, but a little pricey for the food... Better off at a Denny's or?? Can walk for a few miles in either direction on the beach, very pretty. Lots of starfish and live shells in the water on beach a little south of the hotel...
