We loved the Edgewater!
The Edgewater Beach hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel located on a wonderful, white sand stretch of beach in Naples. It is a nonsmoking, and no pets hotel, so it smelled fresh and clean.
We stayed in a Naples view tower suite. It was newly refurbished with HD flat screen televisions, stainless steel appliances, rain shower head; and basically a comfortable, beachy, contemporary style. It had a small balcony. Another plus, was the "Xpresso" expresso machine that was in addition to the regular coffee maker. I made espresso in 1 minute flat! The full length mirror and robes were a nice touch. The bed linens were of a high thread count. The A/C was cold and adjustable. A place to hang wet swimsuits in the shower would've been nice, and there needs to be a transition piece on the floor between the bedroom carpet and the bathroom tile for safety.
The staff was professional and friendly. Our needs were always served quickly. We never had to wait long for an elevator as there were two. The fitness room was adequate. It had nice treadmills, ellipticals, and recumbant bikes. Dumbells were a nice touch; however, the machine there didn't allow for chest or bicep exercises. There were 2 outdoor pools overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The gulf water was calm enough that we would feel safe bringing our children here.
The hotel's location was very nice (besides being right on the beach). Beach chairs and towels are included, but umbrella rental was $19.00 a day. We had a car, and were a close drive to many wonderful eating establishments, shopping, and sites. There are also several multi-million dollar homes nearby.
This was our first visit to Naples and the Edgewater Beach Hotel. We would gladly stay there again!
