Ouch and nothing happened !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/09
I liked the place but unfortunately the steps on outside stairs going toward the pool were wet and I slipped and fell. There was staff at the pool and I was also with a group of people but no one from the hotel approached me. I hit my head and was bruised and shortly left the condo. When I got home I emailed the administration and was told they were sorry. I think they could have done better than that ,considering that I did not make a fuss about what had happened to me.

Great Hotel
By ken, 04/16/09
Brought the wife and 2 6 year olds. Had a great time! Get the Naples tower Rooms as they are new and huge. What's great about the hotel is being right on the beach. Also, the hotel is not so big that you have to pay for parking. It's free and close. Hotel is right down the road from many mansions and high end country clubs. Great time if you wan't to rtelax and be right on the water. The hotel also does not pressure you at the door or anything.

Service is non existant.
By larry, 04/08/09
The room booked was a Beach front suite. we got neither. Got a Pool view and hardly a suite in my opinion. Complaints mean nothing because you cannot get a manager to speak to you. $600. per night for what? go elsewhere Naples is great but this place is not. I will never return.

Not what we expected!! Disappointing!
By Mary, 04/05/09
I booked our vacation based on the beautiful photos I saw on the Edgewater Beach website. We were completely disappointed when we entered our dark and dirty gulfview suite. It was disgusting!! The microwave and safe were broken as well as the furniture which was very worn and dirty. The carpets/floors were filthy! There were also bugs in the bathroom. The entire hotel had a water problem so my children were bathed in green water everyday. Yuck! We had to call housekeeping every single day around 4:00 to bring fresh towels, etc. After much complaining we were moved to a Naples view Tower suite which was beautiful for our last 2 nights. If we had this suite the entire trip I would have given a rave review. Aside from the person who arranged to have us moved the other staff members could care less about our dissatisfaction. The pool area and beach were very nice and clean. Definitely request a tower suite if you book at Edgewater or else you will be staying in a rundown motel setting.

We loved the Edgewater!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/22/08
The Edgewater Beach hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel located on a wonderful, white sand stretch of beach in Naples. It is a nonsmoking, and no pets hotel, so it smelled fresh and clean. We stayed in a Naples view tower suite. It was newly refurbished with HD flat screen televisions, stainless steel appliances, rain shower head; and basically a comfortable, beachy, contemporary style. It had a small balcony. Another plus, was the "Xpresso" expresso machine that was in addition to the regular coffee maker. I made espresso in 1 minute flat! The full length mirror and robes were a nice touch. The bed linens were of a high thread count. The A/C was cold and adjustable. A place to hang wet swimsuits in the shower would've been nice, and there needs to be a transition piece on the floor between the bedroom carpet and the bathroom tile for safety. The staff was professional and friendly. Our needs were always served quickly. We never had to wait long for an elevator as there were two. The fitness room was adequate. It had nice treadmills, ellipticals, and recumbant bikes. Dumbells were a nice touch; however, the machine there didn't allow for chest or bicep exercises. There were 2 outdoor pools overlooking the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. The gulf water was calm enough that we would feel safe bringing our children here. The hotel's location was very nice (besides being right on the beach). Beach chairs and towels are included, but umbrella rental was $19.00 a day. We had a car, and were a close drive to many wonderful eating establishments, shopping, and sites. There are also several multi-million dollar homes nearby. This was our first visit to Naples and the Edgewater Beach Hotel. We would gladly stay there again!

New Ownership
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/14/08
the hotel is beautiful and amazingly remodeled. But the old real edgewater beach hotel before the ownership was changed was when the edgewater was at its best. Its good now, dont get me wrond, but my fmaily and i have rented at this hotel for 10+ years, and last few haven't been all that great. I miss the old original edgewater.

Heavenly
By Kim, 09/23/06
I just returned from my stay at Edgewater Beach Hotel and can not express in words what a wonderful experience I had. The hotel and location were absolutely breath taking. To wake up every morning with the beach and the gulf right at your front door, life just doesn't get much better than that. All the service people were friendly and very accomodating. Shopping and restaurants were nearby along with other wonderful attractions...I look forward to returning to Edgewater Beach Hotel VERY soon...Thanks for a memorable vacation.

Excellent suite...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/06/06
Just returned from 11 nights at the Edgewater Beach Hotel - excellent location, excellent suite. We had a "partial ocean view" and this usually means you can see the ocean if you extend your neck and suspend yourself from the balcony! Not here however, we had a superb view of the ocean and sunsets from our balcony. Just a slight negative and that's the price of everything in the hotel. You don't go to Naples for bargains but $17 a day for a beach umberella seemed excessive, 7$ for a very small tub of Ben & Jerry's and $9 for a beer is, I think, a bit over the top. Nonetheless, it was a great place to be and a wonderful holiday!
