never, never go there!

first the internet site is misleading, it's a dump. at one point they had no toilet paper, towels maybe at 11pm, drained pool near us in the middle of summer??? no one spoke english...or claimed not to, had bug bites too! two washers worked and they closed the laundry mat, advertise as a place for to practice sports...field hadn't been mowed in years, nasty brown blanket...um there was a reason for the color! something that appeared to be a granola bar in the toilet paper dispenser was told it was for the rats! DON'T GO! THERE ARE PLENTY OF PLACES NOT FAR FROM DISNEY THAT ARE JUST AS CHEAP AND MUCH NICER!!!! DON'T DO IT!
 
 
 
 
 
Stay far, far away!!!

This place was the pits - two story complex without elevators - had to drag suitcases up the stairs. Dinner was horrible. And to top it off, we found ticks and bedbugs in our beds at midnight, causing us to have to move to another unit in a big hurry. When i returned home, I developed scabies one week later. This is not a lie - do not risk it here. You cannot believe the look of this hotel from the website. It is not a resort, and the people who run the hotel are rude and very cold. And if you do chance it and go to this hotel, someone will confront you and ask you to do the time share presentation at a local Holiday Inn resort..We were conned into this despite our better judgement, and regretted it. The timeshare salesmen were rude and attacked us personally when we said no. Don't go here!!!!!
 
 
 
 
 
Great

My husabnd and I stayed at this resort for a few days last week, and after reading some of the reviews we were a bit worried. But I must say we were pleasantly suprized. The rooms were nice and cozy, it was quiet, the staff was very helpful and friendly. I must say we had no problems at all and would recommend this place and we will return.

you get what you pay for

place stinks i mean smell and they make a big deal about smoking in the rooms. rusty doors and old style motel operation vintage late 1960;s. Not a hojo anymore could not keep up with the standards Rug filthy fraid to put my bare foot on the floor. Live 2 1/2 hours away really would prefer to go to my onw house tomorrow will work on getting my money back. and going home. Bad idea .

We loved the prices and location. We loved the service we received. Louise was especially great. Would very definitly go back and stay there. Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. Was concerned when I read some reviews and was traveling with friends to Disney. But was greatly relieved upon our arrival and stay. Was not the Ritz but we didn't pay the Ritz prices. Was clean and restful. Plenty of room. Would recommend to anyone on a budget.
 
 
 
 
 
will never go back to this dump

This place is a complete dump. I was suprised when i saw this actual hotel in real life. The hotel looked pretty good based upon web pictures on the net. This place is very old and has a musty smell to it. Our non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. At first, our key did not even work, which wasn't a big problem. I am very displeased with this dump.
 
 
 
 
 
Never Again!

The room was very outdated, old and smelly. There were at least 10 big water spots on the cieling that have been there a while. The security latch on the door had been broken off. There was no "HOT" water, only warm that did not drain. You are ankle deep in water by the time you were done with your shower. Not all listed TV channels worked, especially the Disney Channel. The room menu offered a order what you want for breakfast but only the Buffett was offered and it was cold. And the shuttle to Disney they offer...FORGET IT! It leaves at one time of the day and returns at one time of the day.

WE WILL NEVER GO BACK! THIS HOTEL IS A DUMP!!

We came to vacation in Florida for my daughters 5th birthday.We had so many problems with this hotel from the first day! where do I begin, the outlets didnt work,the room smells nasty.THERES BUGS!!!!,my kids got bit sleeping on the beds and sitting on the floor inbetween beds and they were complaining of something crawling and biting them. throughout the room the carpet is wet, we put bags on the floor by the dresser and it got all wet. The sink looks like its gonna fall apart,we were told that every room has a microwave and fridge when i called to get one the person on the phone was really rude. we couldnt even get them to heat up a cup of water for us. we did switch rooms but the day we did we couldnt get into our original room they had to unscrew the door and use a crow bar to open our door. The second room was just as bad as the first... my 5yr old daughter has a rash now on her back from sleeping on the bed.

Great Value - Recommended !

Just returned from 2 weeks staying at the Howard Johnson Maingate West, second time that we have used this hotel and would overall recommend it as a "good value" and pleasant experience, staff very friendly, excellent pool side bar keeper "PATRICK", heated pool for the kids at night and actually a "great" resturant across the road, The Double Eagle, excellent food and service highly recommended ! It is fairly quiet in the area there but that can also be good and with a car and or the shuttle bus the parks are only around 20-25 minutes away. We will never go back

The service was terrible,the room,fridge,microwave were dirty. The sink did not drain, my daughter found a half eaten piece of pizza under the tv. Only one ice maker was working out of four. This not a nice place to stay.
