Comfort Inn And Suites Daytona, Daytona Beach

i have booked a ocean view suite for two nghts in one week advanced. at check in there were no ocean view suites were available for that day. my children were really disappinted, so they prommised me to give me a ocean view suite on the next day morning, i went to the front desk with my children. to talk to them about changing the room. i was talking to the front desk person (Peggy Sue) about thire mixedup on my booking, and i was trying to explain to her about my resevation. she was rude and told me to "f**k off and check out from here if you dont like. and we have no ocean view rooms available. She used bad language in front of my children. at the time i have no choice but stay there for the second night. Next morning when i was going to check out i have spoke to the manager of the hotel, she was very rude too, she said now you are checking out, why bother complain just check out, i did not want to ruin rest of my vacation.then i left.

the hotel was bad. room smelled like mold. towels were old and grey. pooll water was brown in it. you could smell the mildew in the hall old food boxes under the bed. the floor was bad. staff was rude. no appliances were working. a/c didn't keep us cool. the toliet was never cleaned.

All in all this is not a bad place for the money. It's an older hotel and not very wheelchair friendly. Although, in all honesty, we didn't get a wheelchair accessible room because we needed 2 beds and a kitchenette, and hardly any hotels offer that. (YOU HOTEL ADVISERS OUT THERE TAKE NOTICE AT THAT) Liked: The private ocean front balcony. (One of the few left in Daytona Beach) Efficency with kitchette was stocked with plates, utensils and cookware. Refrigerator was full sized. Room was spacious enough for 2 kids and 2 adults. Staff was friendly and Continental Breakfast was very nice. Price was comparable for the location which was facing the ocean/beach and approximately 1 mile north of Daytona Lagoon and the convention center and International Speedway Bv and the boardwalk. Disliked: Bathroom wasn't wheelchair accesible, but could have been with just a little thought on the maintenance staff's part. Parking is tight, but they did have a guard (attendant). Elevators slow and only 2 ice machines both on bottom floor. I'm writing this in July 2006 and there was road construction in front of the hotel which made it difficult entering and leaving the parking lot. I would stay there again, but only because I know what it's like and only if I could not find someplace suitable for my wheelchair. Bottomline: If you're not in a wheelchair, it's a good place to stay. Also the description on "Worldres.com" is not correct

The people working there were very helpful about providing info about local points of interest. They were also great about snakes and lizards in the rooms, since we visited during the National Reptile Breeders Expo conference. It's right on the ocean, very clean pool, within walking distance of the Oceanic Center, where the conference is held. Very clean rooms and great rate!! We're planning to stay there again this year!

I really liked the comfort inn becuase it was clean!! That is so important to me, and also because it wasn't terribly expensive. I have always wanted to stay at the Adams Mark, but the prices were outrageous! This is relaxed, and its more my "atmosphere"

I really loved my stay at this hotel, everyone was courteous, well groomed, and very respectful. The outdoors area was really a delight. i am going back again.

Hotel is on the beach....nice outdoor pool and access to the beach....we were on the third floor...room was clean and big....bathroom was also spacious....staff was friendly and helpful..... I would stay here again!!

Visited August 2005. Rooms small but convenient for the amount of time spent in the room were perfect. Beautiful white soft sand on the beach. Very clean. Close to Main Street. Staff was very friendsly and assisted with one minor problem promptly. Just got back yesterday and already have reservations for weekend in 2 weeks. Have to visit in off peak times for right rates. DISLIKE: The shower to wash off on stairs leading to beach so those that had 3 and 4 kids took a while to get up or down. Wish that the cost during bike week/biketoberfest was not so high.

we vacation every year in Daytona. Staying in many hotels, and this is one of the nicest we have found. We had a problem one year with the staff but that was inpart thanks to my mother-in-law. But we still go back every year.

We had a beautiful oceanview room that was extremely clean. So clean we slept under the blankets!! Another plus - hotel is within walking distance of Main Street and the boardwalk.
