Days Inn Fort Myers North, North Fort Myers

This place was great! Beds were new, so we had a great nights rest! Plenty of places to eat in the area! Staff was wonderful! Cant complain! Price was great! You 'could' get a cheaper rate from another hotel behind them, but the rooms were 'questionable'. Definately recommend this hotel!

When we first checked in we were given a smoking room that smelled terribly and was very dirty. After requesting another room was placed in a cleaner room and was able to at least tolerate it. Upon check out, realized that we were charged 1.50 per night for safe fee (didn't even work that I could tell...didn't use it) and a fee for local access (phone) which we did not use either. If I would not have paid close attention to the bill, I would have paid this. I think if they are going to have charges like this they should be verbally brought to a guests attention. Most of us have traveled a long way and are very fatigued at check in. I will definitely not go back. Also, to access the road into the hotel, you have to take a back way and then you cannot make a left turn to exit. Very poor planning.

The room was old looking and in need of repairs / updating. The carpets were filthy. After walking barefoot for a short time our feet were so dirty we could see it washing off in the shower. The carpet at the entrance was visibly dirty and looked as if it had not been cleaned in some time. I would not book there again.
