Days Inn Orlando Maingate East, Kissimmee

The floor in the kitchen area and the front of the refrigerator was not clean. One bed had sheets that weren't changed and we had no wash cloths either day, no coffee left in the room, we had to go to the counter and ask for it. The location was the only good thing about the hotel experience.

This place was very clean, very cheap, and had a nice staff. It's location is wonderful, especially if your driving! If not driving, they offer shuttle bus's. I would stay here again in a heart beat. I had a wonderful trip, and Days Inn helped make it that way.

The property is rundown. Probably not surprising since it is right outside the Disneyworld east gate but it needs maintenance. The bathroom door was cracked and the hairdrier was in danger of falling off the wall. I don't know if this is standard in the area but the sheets were not changed while I was there. The last item is probably nitpicking but TV reception was poor.

Go to the Tiki Bar as much as possible!! I lived in Orlando for 3 yrs and whenever I had family or friends visit I would send them to the Days Inn just so I could go to that Tiki Bar. The bartender is from Chicago. His name is David. He's a real cool guy!! Tell him Mike from Illinois (girlfriend Amy) sent you and you may get a free drink. Tell him I moved to California but that we'll be back to have a few drinks!!!

Hotel was a good value. It is certainly not a Class A hotel, but I found it to be clean and comfortable with a good size heated pool. The staff was friendly and accommodating, extra coffee in the room, extra towels, etc. They offer a very good breakfast buffet for $3.99, children eat free, and this is not just muffins and cereal but a full hot breakfast, well worth it. The location is perfect, only about a mile from I-4 which leads to all the major attractions in the area. You are only about two miles from access to Disney World. There are also a number of places to eat within a half mile of the Hotel. All in all, a good value, would stay again under the same circumstances.

Good location and flexible at the desk, but a lot of new people working there, so they aren't knowledgable about things in the area and at the hotel. No problem changing rooms or getting late check out. Near the public library and good bars and restaurants and they have a nice quick happy hour to keep you going until you go to dinner.

Really the only good thing about this hotel is that it is close to Disney. NOT walking though. It's an average hotel with very hard beds! Would stay there again if I had to, but would try to find somewhere else.

Our local landfill is cleaner then this place. room smells like mold, carpet and walls filthy , holes in kitchen floor , sliding glass door wont lock , wall phone was nocked off wall and sitting on floor , kitchen light did not work , very noisey , fight in parking lot at night , If you want a much better place to stay at a much cheaper rate stay at the local landfill. the room we had was a suite. i would hate to see the a non suite room.

We reached at 11 pm in the night to see the room full of a very damp, musty smell. The walls had paint peeling off and the carpet was stained at lot of places. The biggest stain seemed like a water damage stain right next to the door. Since we booked flight and hotel together - WHICH WE WILL BE CAREFUL or AVOID NEXT TIMe, we could not get a refund on the hotel. We checked out and paid for two extra days at a Holiday Inn - where atleast the hotel did not have a damp smell. We lost our money on the hotel booking and did not bother calling up Customer service because we knew we will not get a refund. I would say - AVOID THIS HOTEL if you want to stay healthy during your stay at Orlando.

This is not the place to stay. There were unknown bugs on the floors and kitchen counter. Dirt and dust around the beds. Old candy papers. We reserved room 3 months in advance and had a confirmation number and when we arrived our rooms were given away. We had to take what they had to offer. Each person at the front desk had a different story and price as to what happened to our rooms. The rooms smelled like mildew. These were the worst hotels we had ever stayed at...
