Days Inn Maingate East, Kissimmee

This hotel had many issues: The first was the musty smell in the rooms along with the mold on the walls. We had lights burned out that no one ever came to change, The security chain was not attached to the wall and the key card only worked after several tries. The room had someone else's garbage on the floor that stayed all week it also had stickers on the wall that came off easily however the room service never removed it. The room had the previous person's suitcase key and checkout paperwork which showed the number and name sitting on the table when we checked in. There were gecko's or some little lizard that got into the rooms and eventually dried out on the air conditioner but was never removed. The rug was ripped and did not meet the wall in several places just showing the cement underneath. The gift shop that was advertised was closed and in dissarray looking like a ghost town with candy and gum still displayed. The wireless internet was nonexistent. The play ground was broken and had garbage all around it with rotten wood over the spot when the slide is missing. We had a huge crack in the ceiling. The ice machine did not have a out of order sign and did not work, it had dusty grease all over it. The bar by the pool was covered by a tarp and never open. All the pool chairs where broken and were only good for putting towels and shoes on. The Restaurant only offered breakfast that you have to pay for and was not appealing food looked as if it was reheated several times. When we crawled into bed the first night there were old band-aids in the sheets. When we called to have the room changed we were not given any options, they were all the same. We called the corporation number and was told that we needed to talk to the individual franchaise. We ended up taking the sheets off and just washing them ourselves. We also got a bottle of bleach and some lysol and cleaned the room so that I could feel comfortable staying there. Every night there was a scratching at the door of a local pizza place sticking in flyers. Kind of annoying. The positive was the pool was clean and warm, The air conditioner worked to cool the room and keep the humidity down, it was a great location, the beds were made daily (even if you asked them not to) and new clean towels were replaced. Most of the personal was friendly. Overall it is cheap and you are getting what you pay for. If you go here give yourself time to clean the room with some bleach.

Everything was filthy. Moldy dirty bathroom. Paint peeling on the bathroom door. Nasty carpet. The walkway on the second floor tilted toward the parking lot and gave under your feet when you walked on it. Only one ice machine barely worked for the entire complex. I think if you have any respiratory problems, you probably should not stay there. If I were a responsible inn keeper with a Days Inn franchise, I would be very angry that this place was associated with my hotel.

During Witner of 2007, I stayed at this hotel during a family Orlando trip. It is a great price, and in a great location! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this to anyone who plans on visting the Orlando Theme Parks (Disney World, Universal Orlando, etc.) and firmly beleive that "The hotel is just somewhere for us to rest our feet and get some sleep until tomorrow!" sure there are many other hotels with big price tags, and exciting things to do, but if you're just going for Disney, Disney, Disney then Days Inn Maingate East is a great value, worth the time and money!

My family recently took a vacation to flordia and stayed at this hotel. It was HORRIBLE the worst hotel ever !!!!!The beds were rock hard, and there was mold growing on the bathroom walls!!! And i reserved a room with a fridge and there was not one!!! I WOULD DIFFINETLY SAY TO ANYONE LOOKING INTO STAYING THER TO LOOK FOR SOMEWHERE ELSE !!!!

It was clean and easy to get to parks. Was a bargain for the room and a great secret pot we found to stay! Great location was walking distance from Universal and short drive from Disney and Dennys right next door for a quick filling Breakfast.

Great breakfast! OK, everything else was pretty bad. I mean, the place is going to be completely rotten probably by next year. The place is completely covered with mold. It stinks. Maintanance and house keeping only work until 4, and everything is breaking down, so most of my group had to deal with broken sinks, toilets, and showers. We even had to plug the TV in and out of the wall to use it because the on/off switch did not work. The playground is dangerous and should be condemned, as well.

My experience here was not the best I have had, but I have stayed in worse places. For the price it was decent, but I would have rather stayed at a nicer hotel. The day staff was very friendly, but the night staff was quite unpleasant. The room was relatively comfortable. The beds were firm, but I was okay with that. It is small. The bathroom is not vented so after showers it is like a sauna (not in a good way). But it wasn't anything too bad. The overall cleanliness was tolerable. We did not experience bed bugs like some others supposedly have. Cleaning personnel did a great job, changed the sheets each morning, and cleaned the mess we left from the day before. But there was paint chipping from the walls and bathroom reeked of mold. The location was nice, right in the middle of everything. So overall, our stay was alright. After getting over the shock that the room is much smaller that it appears to be online you can get used to it. I don’t think I would stay here again if I had the money to go elsewhere. But for the price, the accommodations are reasonable.

This place is horrible! My wife and I arrived and went to our room. There were cobwebs in the corners, the heat vent was covered in dust, The bed spread was just nasty, there were bugs, the bathroom was not cleaned properly and it stunk! It had a mildew smell to it. It looked like there were no carpet or furniture updates since the 1970's. I was furious and told the wife I wanted to leave ASAP and would not sleep one night in this nasty place. We drove back up to the counter and demanded a manager. They offered to put us in one of their affiliate hotels for $20 a night. I refused to pay $20 more a night, so they did end up putting us in a much better hotel. Honestly, this hotel needs to be condemned. I am not being sarcastic either. The owners of this hotel do not care at all about the cleanliness of there hotel at all! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! plus, just read most of the other reviews!

STAY AWAY, A DUMP AMONG DUMPS, WE DID HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR 2 NIGHTS BUT CHECKED OUT EARLY. THE DESK STAFF WERE UNFRIEDLY AND JUST HATED THEIR POSITIONS, WHEN WE WENT TO OUR ROOM IT WAS MUSTY SMELLING ON JUST PLAIN DIRTY, THEIR WAS NO TOILET PAPER AND THE TOILET WAS AWAYS RUNNING, THE BED SHEETS WERE NOT FITTED AND THE BEDS ARE SMALL, NOT TO MENTION THE CRITTERS WE SAW UNDER THE BED WHEN WE DECIDED TO LEAVE (LOOKING FOR ANY THING THAT WE MAY HAVE LEFT). GUEST OUTSIDE LOUD AND LATE WILL KEEP YOUR LITTLE ONES AWAKE. THE RESTERAUNT IS NO 3 OR 4 STAR EITHER (TERRIABLE, DIRTY, GROSS) PLEASE CALL HEALTH INSPECTORS!!!!

We arrive at this hole in the wall to get a clerk that did not seem to know her job very well! After 15 minutes of trying to figure out what she was explaing to us we got our room keys. Once we got to our room we noticed a HUGE gap between the floor and door almost as if a cat could fit under it and BED BUGS in the bed and on the night stand. The walls and back of the door looked like some one with black shoes had been tap dancing on it. The air conditioner was blowing dust instead of cold air. I then went back to the front desk and before I could say a word the clerk said "You want to check out dont you" As if this is a normal routine for them...All I am saying is DONT BOOK THIS HOLE IN THE WALL....They really have holes in the wall!
