Quality Inn North, Altamonte Springs

I've stayed at worse and paid a lot more. I am happy with my experience. The price was unbeatable, the continental breakfast was good. The room was nothing to write home about, but it had a fridge, microwave and internet access! The wireless was slow, but the direct link worked great. I slept great. I would come back.

This was a good place to stay for the economical value. Upon entering, though there was an unpleasant odor, that even after turning on the AC, you could still smell the moldy odor. But, the room was very clean. I had a room on the second floor overlooking the pool and facing the office. The parking was not convenient, there were only a few spaces close to my room on the end of the building. I came back late at night and had to park on the other side of the office and walk around the building and upstairs to get to my room. The shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The refrigerator kept my sodas cold, there was also an ironing board and iron in the room, hair dryer, and coffee pot. The AC was icy cold. I also enjoyed the variety of breakfast food available the next morning at the continental breakfast. The dining room was clean and large enough to seat many guests. If I had to stay in Orlando again, I would come back to stay for the price, everything that was included cannot be beat for the price of the lodging.

At first, when we arrived, with our 4 children, they gave us a bottom room in the back. We walked in and the smell of moth balls engulfed us. I went to pick up the phone and a huge roach ran across the nightstand. The room did not look like it was updated in a very long time. We did complain, and the staff immediatley exchanged our rooms for a nicer room on the 3rd floor. This was a better room, but not great. The maids did come and clean/stock towels and made our beds for the 3 nights we were there. They have a wonderful free breakfast that has the best server...she was so warm, and helpful the only "excellent" experience at this particular hotel. This would be the only reason I would come back.

Loved the stay. The evening open bar was an added benefit which expanded the economical cost of the stay and provided a chance to mingle with some of the hotel guests.

Internet service was slooooow. When I called the front desk to advise, the person was rude and denied that there were any problems. Room was clean but smelled slightly musty. Did not feel safe in the neighborhood AT ALL. Good location, easy to get on the main highways and easy to find. Strongly felt that the price I paid was not worth what I got.
