Stay Inn and Suites, Bartow

Hate to be negative but this was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at and my hubby is a pilot. heck out time is 11. They were knocking on my door (while I slept) at 10 to see if I am checking out... I said yes... The front desk then calls 10 minutes prior to check out and rudely reminds me that check out is 10. There is no alarm clock in room but my cell phone let me know the time. There was a clock on the frig that was 30 minutes behind. As checking out I let the counter person know that I did not appreciate them continuously calling and knocking about check out. She says that's procedure bla Bla. I take the front desk card to later complain about the waking me and the phone number is a PORN site.. YES I SAID PORN site. When I complained that their management number was a porn number. The manager started yelling and cursing and told me that I was prejudice. (because he was Islamic and his desk clerk was African American) He grabbed at me to get something in my hand (cell phone or the business card). And then said to me that if I was so hoity toity then I should have stayed at a nicer place and then started insulting my mini van and asked why I am not driving a Rolls Royce if I expected better service. After I few more curse words to me (as I am sitting cross legged in a chair at the lobby) he tells me that he is calling the police.. What? I am not yelling just complain that I was awakened multiple times in the morning repeatedly asked and reminded that check out time was 11. Geez.. Really. Since the prejudice card was already first thrown by this manager.. I should elaborate that he was of middle Eastern descent with flailing arms and cursing... Aside from their lack of etiquette, The room had no alarm clock and the TV did not work.. which I never was even allowed to mention because the management was insane. I will be reporting this place to the BBB and possibly seeking a report for Harassment and Battery (trying to grab things from my hand) Hate to be petty but really upset by this treatment.

Way over priced for the quality of the rooms, Mold in tub and shower toilet seat broken, Rusty doors, Dirty stained carpets, drunks patrolling the parking lot,extremely noisy, bath towels felt like sand paper, all the furniture is about rotten. DON'T STAY HERE IF POSSIBLE! I never will again...

I stayed 6 days in May. I housekeepers cleaned the rooms while standing outside smoking with the doors open. Group of parents drinking at the pool while kids in pool, glass bottles. Outside families come to swim in pool each evening. Says pets welcome, had to keep my daughter'sfriends cat for a couple hours, went to office to pay the $10.00 fee, told my manager that cats are not welcome, had to get cat out asap, I guess I could have lied and not mentioned the cat or fee. Management very rude, requested a late check out, okay by desk staff, have a cat for a couple hours days room service that morning housekeeping came early, I explained I had a late check out, I just asked for an extra hour, manager says staff had no bussiness okaying the extra, had to be out sooner. So much for the room bt the pool, they had camera's and could see what so taken place, nothing done to to have other paying guests a quiet visit. Always had to ask for toilet paper and towels

For three nights and days we were expected to put up with extremely rude occupants here for a family reunion. They pulled in on Thursday, and from then on they were allowed to set fireworks off (even when the explosives were hitting other visitors cars), and they were allowed to disturb others all night long with yelling and partying throughout the entire hotel. On Sunday morning, complaints were made about the firecrackers they were throwing all over the parking lot and at others. The staff came out and told them they were sorry, but they had to stop with the firecrackers. The staff member said "I know it is just in good fun, but there are complaints". I do not pay money to be harrassed for three days, and then have the violators appologized to. When I spoke to the Manager, she said "well they're leaving today". Like it was no big deal. There were alot of family members, I'm sure they made quite a bit of money off of them.....but at what expense? They don't seem to care about decent folks, we will not stay here again.

Now That they got rid of Mike Wecker..I will bring My family ther again,,,,,No more prostitues and drugs,,,,GREAT POOL...the staff is nice. Beautiful landscaping and evrything is in walkind distance.

We have stayed there many times and Love it! Never had any problems always clean and always willing to help in any way! We go two to three weekends a month, even when we go to Lakeland or a surrounding city we still stay at this hotel!

We checked in on Friday night and stayed until Sunday. The room was very clean except I missed the in-room coffee. However, the room had a microwave and refrigerator. The pool was very nice. Everything outside the motel was kept clean and the landscape was well taken care of. They even have laundry machines. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Coffee is served in the office. As far as the area the motel is located in, it couldn't be better. Right next door is a CVC, across the street is a Blockbuster and Publix, and right down the road a mile or two is a Super Walmart. There are tons of restaurants in the area - Pizza Hut, ABC Pizza, Sonny's, Arby's, etc. We will definitely go back when needed.

I stayed there for 1 Night on September 3, 2005 Labor Day Weekend. The outside of the hotel was average. I checked in and went straight to my desination. I got back to the room around two in the morning. I went up to my room and to my surprise the room was nasty and filthy. Both beds were used and towels was lying on the floor. I went down to the front desk and explained to the clerk the conditions of the room and Asked for a Clean Room. She had the nerve to say I had got the keys several hours earlier and should have Inspected the room then. It is not My Job to inspect a room I have Paid For. When I go to a hotel I expect to have a clean room whenever I walk in the room. I would have understood her problem If I asked for a refund. All I asked for was a Clean Room. The clerks are very Rude. I would Never Ever stay there again and will make sure No one I know will either.
