Paradise
What I loved about Casa Ybel Resort was that it was an upscale resort that was family friendly. It was nothing but older couples and families there. The atmosphere was friendly and cordial, service was quick and accurate. Our suite, which was on the third floor and was a 2 story suite overlooking the Gulf, was absolutely breath taking. We were only a couple hundred feet from the surf and it was so quiet and peaceful there. You could hear the music from the weddings at nite and the sound of the waves crashing... That was it. Now, a couple things I did not like:
1) we were on the thrid floor and had to climb up and down many times to load and unload our truck etc, etc. If you are in shape then it shouldnt be a problem for ya!
2)We had a 2 bedroom/2 bath suite. Both bedrooms AND bathrooms were upstairs and we had two kids under the age of four that made us very nervous to have them running up and down them... Especially since one of them is 11 months old.
3) the master bedroom did NOT have a deck to walk out on. Just a window. The deck was located in the living room downstairs. Also, the second bedrooms ONLY have TWO twin-sized beds, they do NOT come in full, queen,or king sized beds! Needless to say, at 5'8" my feet hung over as they were child-sized beds!
But other than that, I have absolutely no complaints!! It was great and I will definitely return there!
The food at the restaurant was DELICIOUS! Very yummy. The pool was humongous and there was an adorable kiddie pool off to the side as well as a small hot tub. The beaches were pristine and clean. Not very busy at all. The water was clean, clear and blue-green and the weather hot and breezy and quite sunny!! If you want to go on an amazing vacation, pick Casa Ybel for your destination resort!
