Not up to par

We stayed at the Bonaventure Resort & Spa (which is poorly named by the way due to the fact there is no spa in working condition), and were severly disappointed. The room was dirty, mainly the bathrooms. We didn't have enough hot water for 2 people to shower/bathe, and the explaination was that there were probably a lot of other people taking showers, and we needed to wait between showers to allow the water to reheat?? We had never heard of such a thing at a "resort"?? The spa was not open, under renovation, yet they tried to charge us a $12.95/day fee for the spa?? The only service available was to have nails done. We were reimbursed for this fee due to not understanding why we were being charged for something that didn't exist for us to use?? The hotel is under renovation, and we felt that the fee should not be charged until it is completed. The main pool is nice, but the second one behind the building was dirty and not lit at night. The hot tub wasn't even working. We were mainly disappointed in the cleanliness of the room, and how out-dated it was. We asked for a room change, but were not accomodated. I would NOT recommend this hotel until it is fully renovated, unless the staff is willing to allow for room upgrades and dropping the spa fee.
