Ramada Venice, Venice

This is a wonderful, clean, quiet, and new hotel. Our stay was exceptionally pleasant and the beds are the best I have slept in in a hotel. I can't wait to stay there again!

The pool was very clean (important, because the kids were in it for about six hours a day!)and the room was comfortable. It is very near Venice Beach and good shopping. The only complaints we had were the double beds (queen would be nicer) and the charge for local phone calls. There is some construction going on just north of the hotel (11/2006) so be aware...

Price was very good for the area. The restaurant had good prices and excellent dinners. They had nightly singing shows free. Didn't really go there to enjoy the hotel but we did.

Well, Let's just say we didn't pick the perfect time for a family vacation because during our 2 week stay in Venice, and while staying at the Holiday Inn, we went through Hurricane Charley. The Housekeeping staff, considering the circumstances was outstanding and very pleasant to be around. The food was actually good, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, and the staff together made being in a hurricane believe it or not....PLEASENT. I will gladly stay there again. Just next time, hopefully when there isn't a hurricane :)

The room was absolutely filthy!! It reaked of smoke, and upon arriving to the room I called the front desk to get a different room and was told that "I requested a smoking room and everything else was full" First off, My wife and I don't smoke. Personally think it's disgusting. Therefore I know I would NEVER request a smoking room. And secondly the parking lot was barely 1/2 full. No way was this place sold out for the night. We ended up leaving and driving to another hotel for the night. Would not reccomend to anyone. The website makes it look beautiful, but the pictures sure are deceiving!!
