Inn on the Green, Tavares

Our friend and us was visiting Tavares, Florida this past weekend (Oct.24/2009),. We call and made reservation at the Inn on the Green Hotel. the hotel is as being home.It has excellent rooms with new bathroom, beautiful view to a gorgeous lake, a lovely patio, pool and golf. Their staff is excellent and very friendly. The stay was overwhelming. We highly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed and plan to return in January 2010. The Hotel also has a gorgeous two bedroom apartment, excellent for a big family "with Pets". Thumbs up to the Inn on the Green hotel. The Madera's and Ricci family

We arrived and the office was closed. On the door a phone number was left to have someone meet us there. We checked in our room and there was a FOUL smell in the room. I went back up to the office to ask for another room. The manager was gone again, office closed. We complain the next day and asked for our money back. The owner said the room does have an odor but it's bareable and refused to refund the money. Also the room was nasty with ants and roaches lounging around the bathroom. Take my advice go approx. 2 mile and stay at the Best Western, Alot cleaner

Since hurricaine there is a great improvement. Rooms are large size & sound proof. Only the greens have gone down due to rain, hurricaine but aqua driving range is fun. Exotic birds in the evening & early morning is fun to watch & the lake & golf view is great.
