BEST WESTERN Cocoa Inn, Cocoa

Perfect get away. My fiancée and I just wanted to get out of the cooler weather of Minnesota and enjoy Florida. When we landed in Orlando we decide to drive down to see the beaches and stop at any places we might like to visit. We stayed at Best Western Cocoa Inn, what a lovely hotel. It’s only about 12 miles from the beach plus many little locally owned restaurants and a few chain restaurants nearby. We ate at Grandpa Steak House only about 2 miles away – wonderful food. Cocoa Inn has a cozy feel…almost like being at home. The room we stayed in had a King size bed and a 42 inch flat screen TV. They also offer breakfast of pancakes/waffles, fruit, cereal and more. The hotel also had a large pool with lawn chairs to tan or just enjoy the sun. Our favorite part was being able to go down to the Lounge located next to the hotel lobby and enjoy a drink and some pool before heading to bed from an adventurous day.

Toilet flushed by itself all night long, but you had to hold the handle down to get it to flush the contents. Heard others in the lobby complaining about their toilets as well. The "boom boom" music from the adjacent club went on past 2 am. Tub had old dried up soap caked in it. Something bit me during the night and left a welt on my hand. Breakfast was brought in from some place else and microwaved. Not worth the $80 a night I paid. I did feel safe there. That was the best thing.

The hotel was busy with family and baseball players. The rooms are typical hotel rooms that are meant to sleep in. My bathroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast was just right. We were here to watch baseball all day and go out to dinner with friends. We were in the rooms to sleep and shower. It met all expectations!

We sent the night here before leaving for a cruise and were very impressed with the service and the speed of the check in process, staff was great! He gave us a map that detailed exact directions to the port. They had a little bar off their lobby that was great for shooting a game of pool and a beer. We enjoyed the pool side patio, the palm trees added to tropical weather. We had a great stay, no complaints!!!

The pool is very nice, that is the only nice thing I can say about this place. The walls are paper thin, the hotel is a bit creepy, it is in a "rougher" area of cocoa beach. Lock your doors! We were lucky to find a parking spot near our room (be prepared for a hike). The staff was not interested in assisting with a TV left all all night in a vacant room at top volume (until scheduled housekeeping the next morning)I would not go here again with my family.
