The Best Hotel
By LISSY, 09/15/09
This is the best hotel to stay in when visiting this local area. The room and beach area were always clean. Also, the staff was wonderful. I can't wait to go back next summer! I love this place.

We can't wait to go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/03/09
Absolutely beautiful refitting of this building; this wasn't your typical slap-shod "let's keep this hotel alive" renovation. this was professionally done. full kitchen fantastic views from the room of the sunset over sanibel island and the pier. heated pool nice garden with lots of coconut palms and golf course grass along with a shuffle board, very key westy feeling without the hassle of getting down there. for the little money above the cess pool down the street it is well worth the cost. close to the pier and town center as well as the lighthouse tiki hut.

What a wonderful way to spend the week
By LJW, 10/17/06
It was exactly like the internet said.. It looked even better than the pictures when we got there.. The hotel staff was very friendly and always making you feel very at home and always cleaning up the grounds for the next day. Beautiful pool and wonderful private beach right out your door.... My only complaint would be the air conditioner was right over our kids bed which was kind of bad.. Would highly recommend it for the location, price and beautiful sunsets from either your balcony or out on one of the beach chairs set up for your enjoyment.. Hope to make it back there real soon.

I Miss You, Coco!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/13/06
This place is beautiful. I liked everything about this resort. Such a sweet "hello" from Coco in the morning, I truly fell in love with her...and the staff was quite friendly. Loved the location, close to pier and the shopping nearby is great. Truly a very nice place to stay with our pet. Pet friendly places are so appreciated. Will be down that way in September.

Dreams Do Come True...
By Don, 07/08/06
This place is proof that your dreams can come true. Located on one of Florida's most prominant white-sandy beaches, this resort is a short trip down the west coast to Southwest Florida's finest city's: Fort Myers, Naples, and world-famous Sanibel Island. Situated one block down from what is known as "Times Square" (Downtown Ft Myers Beach), this tropical getaway is the perfect atmosphere for both adventure and night-life. Every room has ocean-view balcony's over-looking the majestic Gulf Of Mexico, and direct private beach access to sunbathing and watersports. One of the cleanest beaches I have ever stayed on, the maintainence is kept with an up-most standard. Rooms are priced around $139.99 a night (excluding holidays) and the staff did everything they could to provide me additional discounts over the telephone. In the end, my room only cost me $114.86 a night. Every room is equipped with a full-size kitchen (Refrigerator, Microwave, Stove, Toaster, Coffee Pot, Sink, Dishes, and Silverware!) I woke up early and sat on the balcony enjoying a cup of coffee and the view of the morning sun coming up over the Gulf, and it occured to me that paradise isn't so hard to find after all. So many other hotel chains are very outrageously priced in the $200.00 - $500.00 a night range, but many of them doesn't even have beach access or even an ocean-front view!! I can't believe people actually pay that!! The Best Western Beach Resort has definately blown them away in both value and location. I WILL be staying there again, and if anyone out there is dreaming about the perfect tropical vacation getaway, the Best Western Beach Resort on Ft. Myers Beach will make your dreams come true.....

We've been visiting since 1979!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/30/06
We must've stayed at the Best Western Beach Resort 30 or more times by now. It is a favorite, comfortable place to keep returning to. Great beach walking, views and outdoor dining nearby. Beach rental of chairs and umbrellas out front very handy; pool and loungers great. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Prices very reasonable. We're already planning our next visit!

Was a beautiful location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/08/06
I checked out alot of hotels before deciding to stay here. Was reasonably priced and right on the beach. Close to 7-11 and shopping (there were several outside type restaurants to eat breakfast at--wonderful!--about a 5-10 minute walk depending on your beach stride) Walk on the beach to the pier and you are there! Would stay there again! My first visit to Ft. Myers Beach--traffic is something you don't want to deal with (although this was considered off-season)--so being on the beach within walking distance was a plus. You can take trolley to other places though.
