Best resort in FL-going back 2012
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/26/11
Very nice once you find it, it is easy to get to again. The rooms were clean, and very well decorated. Like having a deck to get out to. We stayed in a one bedroom condo last time and it was fine but bringing friends this time so doing a two bedroom condo. So what if we had to walk a little ways to the beach(maybe 3 city blocks tops) -a resort road, not busy and it was beautiful. I saw dolphins in the bay and we watched manatee's in the harbor!

Describe Perfection? Go see for yourself!
By Mr. C, 3/25/11
The studio unit was cozy but still had enough space to feel comfortable. The kitchen was adequate to either cook and eat in or dine out (a great way to stretch vacation $$). The staff was unfailingly cheerful, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The weather was superb (coming from New England, being able to sleep with windows open in March is an exquisite indulgence), and the sunsets rivaled anything I ever saw in Key West. For someone wanting utter and complete relaxation and rejuvenation, this is the best I've ever seen! The only possible downer was finding the check-in registration desk (arriving at 2AM was not the best choice for my first visit here). Thanks to Chris from Security who finally took pity on the confused tourists and got us directed to check-in!

What a Hidden Gem
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/16/10
This is a great property for people who need a place to decompress. Quit, relaxing with a restaurant and tiki bar right on the beach. You can rent a fishing charter or go Kayaking or just sit on the beach and relax. My wife and I chose the later. There is live music and the best Sunsets I have seen. A little out of the way but worth the trip. You have several different types of room choices from Studio to 3 bedroom condo's. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and loved it. Staff was friendly and eager to please. I also recommend a massage in the Gazebo overlooking the water.

Best resort I have ever stayed at
By Dan, 1/4/10
I have stayed at many resorts in my life time. I am young, but travel alot. I have been to the Hawaiian Islands, Aruba, Bahamas, Mexico, and many beaches in Florida. I can say that this resort has been the best. It is a 5 star resort. It has everything to do from fishing to swimming, and also grilling. Heated pools and spa. The staff are nice and professional and the restaurant on site has great food. The rooms are decorated nicely and have up to appliances. The place looked great and we were treated like kings! We will definitely come back to this resort and I would pay any amount of money to do it. Dan

Great Sunsets and Great Resort
By Robert Newhart, 12/15/08
Resort was great. Had a great room that overlooked the marina and a great view of the bay. Be sure to ask for a marina view if you go. Food and Staff were great. No hassels from Check-in to Check-out. We will be going back again. Great price for room and all amenities.

IF YOU ARE A FISHERMAN, BE PREPAIRED TO BE HARASSED
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/28/08
---------IF YOU ARE A FISHERMAN BE PREPAIRED TO BE HARASSED, AND HARASSED, AND HARASSED. The resort is everything they say it is. It is beautiful and clean. The food at the restaurant was very good. It was cold so we didn’t go on the white sand beach, but it was very nice. We had a very nice view of the water and the boats. We also enjoyed the HD TV in the living room and the two bedrooms. The problem we had was trying to find a place to fish. When we first arrived we asked one of the employees where we could fish, he said anywhere on the property, he even gave us directions to his favorite spot. That afternoon we went to the spot that he told us about and just as we starter fishing, two men in a golf cart came up and wanted to know if we were staying on the property and advised us that we could not fish in this spot. We were told we could fish anywhere on the property, but not there. The next day we went to the little bait shop and boat rental. We talked to the two men in the shop about where to fish. We were told we could fish anywhere on the property and were told that the two men that had ran us off the night before didn’t know what they were talking about. Latter that day we went back to the bait shop to fish, but it was closed. Just as were started to fish, up comes a man in a pickup truck, hollering, “Hay, you can’t fish here” We told him that the two men at the bait shop said we could. We learned his name was John. He was very nasty to us so we packed up and moved to another area. No one bothered us there. The next time we started to fish, the wind was blowing very hard. We rode around and found a place out of the wind behind some trees and behind a apartment building We were there less than 10 minutes when a man came up in a golf cart, jumped out a said, “Hay. you can’t fish here”. He said his name was Pete. We tried to reason with him, but to no avail. We then went to the fishing pier, but the wind was blowing so hard that it was difficult to fish. We fished for a little while and then gave it up. I don’t know why we were harassed by these four men. There were very few people at the resort and they appeared to have nothing better to do than ride around harassing people. John and Pete were very rude. They need to put up "No Fishing" signs in the areas that they don't want people to fish. It spoiled our stay there, but I guess we would go back again. -

Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/23/08
My husband and I travel a lot, and have stayed everywhere from the motel 6 to the ritz carlton; this was by far the worst hotel ever and we didn't even stay the whole time! First, don't believe their website it is completely fabricated. The pictures are photo shopped; nothing is located directly on the water. When we drove up we had to drive through a massive amount of construction to a poorly labled lobby. When I had called the hotel weeks prior I was assured that all rooms are water view and so I had nothing to worry about (their website says the same thing), but when we got to our room the only view we had was of a big, ugly, 1980's style building. When we went back to request a different room, we did not see paying over $200 dollers a night to look at a building) they told us they were fully booked; however, we saw only two other cars in the whole complex. They told us they could move us to a standard room, which we did, but when we got up to it everything was worse. The two "double beds" were in fact twins, and our "view" now was of a hellicopter landing pad and a road. None of their rooms are located directly on the water; they all overlook the road and then grass and then the water. We went back into the lobby to see if they had anything else (we could not see two grown adults sleeping in one twin size bed) and they informed us that none of the rooms on the first floor would be able to see the water (keep in mind their website and when you call say that all rooms are water view) and all they had avalible were the two rooms we saw. When we informed them that this was a horrible place and we were going to leave, instead of apologizing they said "well, that is one of your options." We got a refund for our stay and left. Instead we checked into a hotel about 30 min. away also located on tampa bay, had a wonderful time, and paid $80 less for a nicer room with a king sized bed and a wonderful water front view. Bottom line: 1. Their website and brochore pictures are fabricated (either not taken from the resort or photo shopped) 2. The staff and website lie: there are no water front rooms and only a select few (all standard rooms as told by management) are water view 3. The staff does not care if you are happy or not and are more interested in selling condo's than having people stay at the hotel 4. The cleaning crew leaves at 3, so I hope you don't have a mess in your room.

We will never be back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/08
This had to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It was so dirty. There really wasn't a single place in the entire hotel I would consider "resort" style. The rooms were not as seen on the internet. The Bed was a full size dirty mattress, no heat, the curtains did not cover the windows, phone did not work, nasty towels and no hand towels, and the only mirror in the room was over the toilet. The other tentants were very loud until 2 or 3 in the morning, a car in the parking lot was broken into to and on the day we were leaving, a man was asleep on the back steps. Of course you had to pay for the entire stay the day you checked in, and if I would have seen the room before we paid, I would have rather slept on the beach. The 2 bedroom unit we were given had a broken dishwasher, broken stove and no AC. Our room was over 80 degrees. Staff leaves at night. This is an older property with maintenance issues. Good luck if you stay here and have a problem because you are treated like you are the problem. The room would have been ok (we did not need the dishwasher or stove) but with no AC it was unbearable. We left in the middle of the night in the pouring rain to find other accommodations.

Great Service at Affordable Price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/5/07
I stayed with my family during a long holiday weekend. The view was fantastic, the staff was great and the whole atmosphere was incredible. Rooms were very clean and everyone was friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. I very much enjoyed the small kitchen and large refrigerator, which makes it very convenient for the kids. The place is very quiet and relaxing, with great views of the Tampa Bay. The best part are the sunsets at the beach, which were unforgettable. I highly recommend this place for a family or a romantic getaway. We will return again.

What a wonderful experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/3/06
Our family recently stayed at The Inn. We reserved three rooms including a King suite for a family celebration. I made several phone calls and recieved a lot of friendly assistance in making appropriate reservations for our needs, as well as information about local activities. The rooms were beautiful and the views fantastic. From our room and from the patio, we could watch sail boats and ships in the near distance. Of course, there were also skiers and sailors and fishermen to watch. We couldn't have asked for better. I had read reviews that complained about the local construction, but found the complex clean and quiet. The construction had no affect on our weekend whatsoever. We took advantage of the tennis courts as well as the pool, beach and jet skiing. ( Our kids became jet ski licensed to ride alone- the guy was a riot. We also had dinner and breakfast at Mangroves. The food was excellent. Our party (including 6 kids 12 to 17 years old) had a great time and plan to return. D Tetlow
