Horriblle Hotel with a Mouse under the Bed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/08
I stayed in this hotel last weekened (January 12-14). This hotel is the worst, most horrible hotel I've ever stayed in life. I travel frequently, both domestically and internationally.
I found a mouse running on the floor in a room one night (can't believe this can happen in a hotel). I was a big mouse (bigger than your hand) and it ran into the bed from the bathroom. I saw it running three times. It happened so quickly and, just imagine how shocked I was at the time. The room was called "Georgetown room" and the room number was 405.
When I called at the front desk that night, they moved me to another room, which was supposed to be a non-smoking room. But the room had a heavy smell of cigar. They said they were sold out of rooms that night and asked me to stay in that room a few more hours.
They say the manager would come to talk to me at 8 in the morning, but he didn't come, with no call. I waited a little longer, they say he will come at 9:30 but he didn't come.
I also was stucked in an elevator one morning. When I pushed the "emergency button," I was so surprised to hear a woman ask me to wait. This woman sounded like she wasn't surprised to hear this happening. It looked like this happens frequently in this hotel. I was so scared and at the same time embarrased to find out the unkind attitudes of the people serving in this hotel.
The reason why mice can live in this hotel, I figured, is because they put their breakfast in the corridor. In the morning, you will see several food plates in front ot each room in the corridor. The food smells in the whole corrider and this is how they fed the mouse in the hotel.
Unless you want to be shocked to see a mouse in the bed and not sleep at all, do not stay in this hotel.
The manager, who was supposed to contact me, still haven't contacted me--after four days from what happened to me.
