Lost our reservation-don't stay here!
We booked a two night stay at this hotel for my son's SHIP program at TAMU. I had booked the reservation a couple of weeks ahead. When we got to the front desk, they had no record of it. I had saved the confirmation to my desktop at home(4 hours away) and had just written down the address, phone number and our AAA room rate. We spent an hour trying to get another hotel room for two nights, because there was another big event going on at A & M and most of the hotels were booked. This turned what was supposed to be an fun and exciting day into a nightmare for us. As it turns out, while we were leaving the front desk area, another man came in and was also told that he had no reservation with them. When he showed them his confirmation number, he was told that the number wasn't one of theirs. Until that happened, I thought I had been going crazy, but I think the Marriot website is not functioning properly now. Sure enough, when I got home, there is my confirmation, on my destop with all the information and says our room is being held by our credit card! I would hate to see another family go through what we did. Buyer beware on this one!!!
