Great place
By Judith, 10/14/12
My husband, grandchild (different one each time) & me have stayed 3 times over the past 5 years. Friendly service and any minor problem was promptly taken care of. Love the proximity to restaurants and Metro. Plan on being back in a couple of years.

Worst Hotel I have ever stayed in
By George, 8/4/09
Staff did not help with any request I gave. I had to ask for a maid service. All I wanted was towels and some Tea instead I get a maid who wants to vacuum my floor. When I ask for Tea she has one bag. Front desk will politely tell you that you are wrong about your reservation till you show them your printed reservations. Even when logic says they are wrong leave it to this staff to not follow logic. I will never stay at another Hyatt.

great place to stay
By nc traveler, 10/8/07
I was lucky enough to choose this hotel while I was in Washington. It is in a great location. The Metro station is only 2 blocks away, there are many good eating places that are nearby, there was a nice sports bar located within walking distance, the staff at the hotel were friendly, and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The parking was alittle expensive at 16 dollars a day, but I feel the hotel was worth the extra 16 dollars for parking. The rates were more than reasonable for the stay. I would stay there again, and not think of looking any other place.

Great experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/07
This was our first trip to DC and we opted to stay here. Great choice. It was across the street from the Metro and has nice places to eat within walking. My husband and I had never been on a Metro but it was so clean and easy to use. We made several trips into DC and when we came back, all we had to do was cross the street to be back at the hotel. We booked with a AAA discount and received free breakfast coupons. The breakfast was wonderfull. Was a hot buffet with anything you would want. The staff was very nice. I would recommend this hotel to anyone....business or family. K D

A great place to stay !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/16/06
Staying at the Hyatt Arlington is a really wonderful experience and each Hyatt employee that you interact with at the hotel makes it their business to ensure your stay is absolutley fabulous! The actual hotel location is really great and there are wonderful local restaurants to walk to or drive to. The rooms are comfortable, attractive & spotlessly clean.Meals at the Hyatt /Arlington 's Mezza Restaurant located on the second floor are both delicious and relaxing. Washington DC sites & attractions are just minutes away and the Arlington Metro stop is located just around the corner for convenience. It is about a 20 minute walk to Georgetown on a nice day just over the Key Bridge! We look forward to staying at the Hyatt/Arlington whenever we visit the area .. it has now become our home away from home ! You feel very welcome the minute you enter and the staff goes out of their way to please you .

Good Experience
By Joseph, 5/17/06
We stayed at the Hyatt in May of 2006 for six nights. The room was very nice and well kept. The hair dryer was on the fritz and so was the second one they brought but they kept bringing them until we got one that worked. Not knowing the area we asked the concierge for a restaurant recommendation and he told us about Il Radicchio which is about a 10 minutes walk from the hotel. My wife and I loved it and it was not very expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. We would definitely recommend staying there.

Perfect for a weekend trip to DC
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/13/06
We went sight seeing in Washington DC one weekend and found that the Hyatt Arlington was a great place to stay for that. The hotel is right at the metro in Rosslyn so we were able to get to the smithsonian station in just 15 minutes. All the museums, the Washington Monument and the World War 2 memorial were right there. The hotel is also just a half mile & across the river from DC. It was a great value too because they have a weekend package for just $139 that included 2 metro day passes (per day), a nice buffet breakfast for me and my wife in their beautiful restaurant and parking. The hotel rooms were comfortable (free internet too) and we had a wonderfull view of Georgetown and the river from our room. The staff was very friendly as well. We recommend the Hyatt Arlington if you are going to DC for sight seeing. You can't beat the location and the value.

Be Careful of Your Luggage
By Janna, 12/31/05
I stayed at the Hyatt Arlington for 3 nights. The hotel was clean, and the room was perfectly adequate. The staff was perfectly friendly and up until the point where I stopped back by the hotel on my way to the airport I could have given the hotel a good review. That morning after I checked out, I checked my luggage in at guest services and received my claim ticket since I didn't want to cart my luggage around all day. When I came back that afternoon for my luggage I had a rude awakening. They had given it away to some random person. They didn't accidentally give the wrong bag. No, they just thought these people didn't have enough luggage and gave them my bag as well. Claim tickets apparently are worthless here. But that wasn't the kicker. It was one individual that gave my bag away. It was the management staff that dealt with the aftermath. They gave a good enough show while I was there. They made calls and tracked down the bag. They echoed sympathy across the board. They got me a cab to the airport since I certainly wasn't catching the bus I planned to. They ASSURED me that they would arrange for a service to deliver the bag to me next day delivery. One of the staff would call me later that evening with the tracking number as soon as it became available. I left for the airport with the belief that I would get my bag with my medication, passport, cell phone charger, glasses, car keys, house keys, office keys, and etc. the next day. Someone managed to get spare car keys to me at the airport so I wouldn't have to leave my car there. No one from the hotel called with the tracking number. When I called the next day someone found the number for me. When I called the delivery service I found out that I wouldn't be getting my delivery that day. It was sitting in Ohio, but that they would schedule me for Saturday delivery, and call me the next morning with the delivery time. Later that afternoon, the hotel called me to check status and then seemed far more concerned that they were paying for next day delivery than that I still hadn't received my luggage. The next day I called the delivery service again and found out that I wouldn't be receiving my luggage until Tuesday because they were closed on Monday. As soon as I left the hotel, the management felt no more need to put on the show of concern. They used an inefficient delivery service that I had never heard of. They washed their hands of the situation because they blamed it all on the one employee who gave up the bag. I transfer that blame to the entire staff, because one mistake followed another. I will not be visiting this hotel again, and the Hyatt in general has a black mark in my book. Be careful of your luggage and the management staff if you visit this hotel.
