great location not worth the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/19/09
First good news the location is great for quite and for the beach.BUT the money is not worth it..at my stay the toilet did flush well. Thank God they left a plunger by the bowl. The bed were hard as rocks, plus the noise upstairs woke you up it was like a crack of thunder. Woke you up out of a dead sleep. Office closes at 4pm..So pray you dont lose your key or need assistance. For the price there should be more offered..continental breakfast, pool....Wouldnt stay again

Great Place to Stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/13/09
Location, location, location! A perfect place for a quiet weekend away. We walked to the movie theater, the boardwalk, the beach (passes available in the Office) and restaurants. In fact, we started our car only once all weekend, for a quick trip to the Mohegan Sun. The rooms are clean, very large and seem to have been renovated recently. Price was reasonable, especially for a stay in a quaint coastal town. My wife and I are coming back next year.

I don't think I would ever go back!
By T, 03/22/09
If you are not into the beach forget it. It is located downtown away form the main highway you have to go to the end of town to get anywhere. The rooms really have no view. Located in back of an office building. They still use keys. So security is not 1st on thier list. There was no safe in the room. It is not a place for the the elderly or handicaped. If you can't use the stairs. I did not like the fact that they came in to tidy up while we were still there. Were they watching us to see when we went out? A little privacy please! I found the price high for what you don't get. The AC was out of date, had to keep it on all the time, no temp. control. Parking is another factor there isn't much. This is a good place for one night, and pack light, you will be lugging your luggage. I suggest a backpack.

remodeled/updated in 2008
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/08
the location was wonderful, but the room really wasn't worth the money. I stayed back in summer 2006 but recently noticed that they have remodeled and updated for the summer 2008 season.

Not worth the price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/07
We selected the Niantic from their website which makes the inn look much nicer than it really is. First, the website fails to tell you that the inn is located behind the lawyer's office. This does help keep the roda noise down, but there is no view. The suite was large and clean, though definitely dated. The "non-smoking" room had a cigatette hole in the bedspread. Overall we've stayed in much better rooms for half the $139.00 per night we paid. Might be worth $69.00 tops. We stayed the following night at a B&B in Mystic for $120.00 which was by far a better bargain in price, ambiance and amenities.

Clean and convenient
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/01/07
Clean place with large rooms. Quiet and private and right across the street from the beach. They give FREE beach passes too. They also have wireless internet and a washer and dryer to clean your clothes. They are right in town so everything is right around you. I'd stay there again!

unfortunately the closet accodation to the shoreline
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/06
this accomodation is on the shabby side and exists next to a fast food restuarant and in back of a lawyer's office . rooms are on the dumpy side and the refrig and microwaves are old and some in poor shaape . the ac's do not not function properly. if u are on the first 2 floors expect to hear overhead walking at all hours . this is not a quality place for your stay. not worth the cost.

No complaints! Surprisingly great motel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/28/05
My family has stayed there each time they come to visit and they always have great things to say about it, as well as staying there again and again. They are very particular people as well, and they are used to staying in luxury hotels around the country. They didn't have any complaints, and in fact complimented the motel on its cleanliness and large, spacious rooms.

horrible
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/07/04
Possibly the shabbiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Furnishings have not been replaced in years. Cigarette burns in exposed mattress. Chairs and sofa belong in a dump. Depressing.
