Knights Inn Southington, Southington

From the moment we walked in the room was freezing. The bed was very hard and the blankets very thin. The headboard wasn't even on the wall and looked filthy. The wall were disgusting. There was a huge hand print on one. Mold was on the ceiling. The carpet was filthy. We didn't take our socks off the whole time. The ouside was nice though.

We rented 3 rooms for this trip. The first room I stayed in had the wall switch removed so you had to venture in the dark to turn the lights on. The microwave and fridge were nowhere to be found. The nightstand had a hole in the center of it the size of a soda can. The second room appeared better. It had a fridge and a microwave, but the hairdryer was gone and the walls were dirty and the toilet seat was busted. In fact all three rooms had a broken toilet seat. The third room we had to ask for extra blankets for when we realized that the ladies sleeping there had the wiring disconnected from the heater. The wires were all exposed and the room was less than clean. As a single male just making a trip to visit family and staying one night. It wasn't a big deal. But overall for the 7 of us all 3 of our groups rooms had more problems than good. I was happy with the front desk. they were very polite. The continetal breakfast had good coffe. But the OJ was clear and didn't look good and the milk for the coffee smelt a little strange. I felt bad for the other members of my group and what they got. I recommend staying down the street at another popular motel for the same price.
