Poor Service/Incorrect Billing @ Hotel's Resturant
I live locally, but went to the hotel restaurant for Mothers Day Brunch. Even though it was a fixed price buffet, the lack of service by the staff was inexcusable. Our table of three had to ask several times for silverware and orange juice (neither of those items are provided at the buffet table), plates piled up on our table as there was no one around to bus them, and we had to ask three times for the bill. I purposely didn’t leave a tip because the service was so bad, so you can imagine my surprised when I received the bill from the credit card company and found and extra $22.00 was charged to my account. This was not the amount I signed for, and it was a party of three people. I guess the hotel office does not hold onto the receipts, because when I called the hotel to straighten out this issue, they made me come to the hotel to prove I didn’t sign for the amount that I was charged for - AND - I could only do this when someone from the accounting office was there. I had to work around THEIR schedule not MINE. Eventually, I was given a credit for $22.00, but I was the one who had to do all the work for it. I didn’t stay at the hotel, so I cant comment on the rooms, however I've decided I will not bother with their restaurant again, nor will I refer out of town guests to this establishment. There are several other hotels and upscale restaurants in the area (including one across the street!) to deal with this foolishness.
