The Roost Lodge is situated on I-70 and less than two miles from the center of Vail Village where one will find many fine restaurants, shops, and nightlife one would expect from a premier resort in the U.S. The lodge offers complimentary continental breakfast, hot tub, sauna, gas barbaque, and free city bus shuttle. Pet friendly rooms available and outdoor heated pool. The 72 guestrooms contain wood furnishings, tables, two chairs, and nightstands. Each includes a TV and windows.

Simple, affordable lodging in Vail

I spent a night at the Roost Lodge at the end of the ski season and all in all. I had a good experience there. The room was clean and comfortable, the location is four miles from Vail Village with a town bus stop nearby, and the staff were very professional. The only drawbacks were that HWY 70 is 100 ft from the hotel and the floors make a bit of noise when the people on the second floor move around. For a simple place to crash, the Roost Lodge is a good deal.

Not Bad at all

Great location with a great price. The rooms are small, but it was all we needed. Everything was clean as well. The only problem for some would be the interstate noise. Definately a great value for Vail.

don't stay here

I cancelled a reservation there after hearing some bad reviews, but they not only billed me the following two months for it, they didn't credit me with the payment after I called them. Not trustworthy nor worth the stay. The Comfort Inn was great--internet and breakfast!

Terrible

First they lost my pre paid reservation...despite having both my confirmation and transaction numbers with me. I then went to my room where the thermostat was broken and the heat was literally 100 degrees.In order to sleep I had to keep the window open,which being a stones throw from I-70 made it VERY loud. No apologies were made,nothing. I do not reccomend this place to anyone.

Not bad......

VERY close to vail, cheapest place to stay in the valley. Very small rooms. Noisy, if not on back side. Con. B-fast is juice & bagel. Only stay here if you want to save money.

cheap with good location

Its not the nicest of hotels, so dont expect much, but for a hotel in vail thats cheap and near the mountain it cant be beat. Its perfect for students or anyone else who just needs a place to sleep.

No sleep here

Arrived late night, excited to ski in the morning. Room was 85 degrees even though thermostat was at 65. The hotel sits right on the highway, so opening the window didn't help b/c it was incredibly noisy and even with the window open, it was hot. Neither my buddy nor I got a bit of sleep. Terrible way to start our trip -- we spent the first morning finding other lodging. Worst, the Roost won't refund our fees. And, though I can't confirm, locals informed us later there had been shootings in the hotel. NOT someplace I'll ever visit again....................
