Best Western Golden Buff Lodge, Boulder

The Golden Buff is a great deal for anyone spending a few days or a week in Boulder. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the water was hot when you wanted hot and cold when you wanted cold. The room had a bit of an older look to it, but in a good way. The only negative was that the internet didn't work properly, and the staff wasn't able to repair it. The staff was great in every other way, however, helping us with directions and any other concerns. Speaking of directions, the location is excellent. There is a large mall across the street, and restaurants all over the place. There is a breakfast place right on the site of the hotel which is very good and opens around 6:30 a.m. for anyone who has to leave early. Transit is also good in the area, since the hotel is on a main street and near a couple of other ones. On the whole, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Boulder area.

Clean comfortable and spacious rooms, internet access in the room. Muffins (very good) , tea and coffee in lobby all day. The pool is small but nice to have. GREAT location, next to a number of shopping areas. Short bus hop, or car ride to center of boulder. Rooms seem well soundproffed. Breakfast is very good to our taste, not a buffet. But the breakfast is not big, so big appetites might be disappointed. (ex : cereal + beverage, or fresh fruit and muffins + beverage) Would definately recommend.

The rooms were very good. As good as any hotel in Boulder at twice the price. Rooms are motel-style (open into the parking lot). The free breakfast is excellent. "The Buff" restaurant has great breakfasts...free or otherwise. I did not eat any other meal there. Overall, it is an excellent place to stay for the price.

Great location, great rooms, great price, great restaurant for great breakfast at great price...have stayed at Hotel Boulderado and paid 3X the nightly rate that you pay at Golden Buffs Lodge and get 1/2 the service and value

I loved everything about it and know i will always stay there when i need a hotel in boulder. The room was very affordable and i felt i received a lot for my dollar.

Don't expect a big lobby. As a matter of fact the lobby is a 20 x20 room with the front dest a couch a TV and a free computer terminal. The rooms are adecuate motel style. Two thumbs up on the bed, no hammock, nice and firm, didn't feel the springs. Ironing board, coffee maker and a very small, tiny fridge. Economy "hotel" with economy attitud. A good place to stay if you're on a budget and want a clean place to get sleep.

Sixty years old and first plane ride alone and checking into a motel alone. The young lady at the reception desk couldn't have been nicer in explaining things and answering questions that were new to me but old to her. Although I had a reservation, the single bed rooms were all taken, so imagine my surprise when I was given a deluxe room at the same price. The room was one of the best I've ever stayed in and very quiet; everything was clean as a pin. The restaurant was busy and I had a short wait, but the breakfast was well worth the wait. Believe me.....I'll be back!

I've stayed at the golden buff a number of times now, and I am always very pleased. The rooms on 26th street (the "deluxe" rooms) are worth the extra 9 or 10 bucks. The rooms are big, clean, comfortable, and much nicer than you might expect. The staff is extremely helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to make their guests happy, which is something we all know is not found everywhere.

As a frequent business traveler at a variety of hotels, I was beyond happy with my choice to stay at the Golden Buff. It is so rare to find a nice hotel with quiet & spacious rooms in the center of a town. Not to mention my surprise at the free highspeed internet (ethernet cable provided), free microwave and free refrigerator. More often than not I am charged for EACH of these amenities when I stay at other hotels. (That can add up quickly when on a long trip and then I have pay out of my own pocket.) Next time I'm sent to Boulder, I will stay there again.
