Chase Suite Hotel Newark, Newark

Would definitely stay again when in the area. I had a 1-bedroom suite. Everything was as advertised, the kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I reserved the room for 1 night but decided to stay an extra day. The location is great as well, plenty of stores and a mall across the street. Easy access off the I-880 highway. Quiet area, didn't hear any car or foot traffic.The breakfast needs a little work, when my boyfriend and I came to breakfast, one pan was empty, no sign of what had been in there, less then a scoop of eggs, biscuits and gravy. They did have bagels, breads, cereal & juice. It was advertised as a deluxe hot breakfast but I didn't think so, definitely need to work on the breakfast. Overall, looking forward to another stay!

Have had family and friends stay here a couple of years back, when it was a "Woodfin" Hotel. It WAS fabulous, back then. However, this evening, my husband and I accepted an invitation from a current guest (and relative) to join her at the Manager's Social Hour". It turned out to be ANYTHING BUT 'social'. Had a horrific experience with "Sales Coordinator" Kristine Gabriel. As a seasoned world-travelers, we were appalled by the caliber of this staff person. She was extremely rude from the 'get go', treated us with disrespect, flaunted and abused her authority; continued to harrass us even after we left the premises, by following us out the door and 'pushing' her business card on us, pretty much daring us to contact her senior management. Hmmm... must know people in VERY HIGH places. Cannot imagine WHY Chase Suite Hotel has inflicted someone of this caliber on its guests. Newark, Fremont and Union City have many other hospitable, gracious, and courteous hotels from which to chose -- so think twice, before booking a room here. You just MIGHT run into the "Sales Coordinator" from hell. Enjoy your visit in the Tri-City area by staying clear of this hotel, until the Chase Suite Hotel is more discerning and selective when hiring their personnel. As a Consumer with rights, we definitely plan to contact their Corporate Office and give them this feedback..

We brought our Angel, our dog, the hotel did not have a puppy bed as adveristed however, the walking area was very accessable. Clean up bags were available at the desk. My husband is handicapped, the staff held a room on the ground floor, next to the loby with parking in front of the room. Very helpful. Well maintained and very, very clean. Special requests took a little diligence to get what we wanted, no big deal. We will be in the area next week, with Angel. Woodfin will be a little out of the way but, we're staying with them again even though logisticaly it may not be the easiest choice. Very close to freeways, easy access. Everything you need is close by. Great price for accomodations.
