3 night stay at the Westin Bonaventure in LA
By Riley, 05/27/09
High in the sky view and elevator ride was great...trying to reserve the room was disappointing...online allowed reservation while manager was saying all rooms were full...there was a convention during the time of our visit. Attendants were like cold fish...room menu was sky high a cup of french onion soup and 5 shrimp could set you back around $70...and the wait was very long...towels were old, no robe was included with room. Parking was ridiculous $32 per night...a sign was at the entrance saying full, but there were spaces for already entered quests...a little confusing. Overall it was not worth it...but it was a great view from the 25th floor. I would not recommend it... there has to be a better adventure...

Might go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/09
View was great. Room was ok. However, for such a large hotel, there wasn't much to choose from as far as restaurants go. Once we did arrive at the top floor, rotating restaurant at 11pm, we were told that they were only serving drinks. Needless to say, the hotel could use more restaurants that serve food beyond 11pm.

By Tammie, 03/16/08
I LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT MY TIME THERE. THE ROOM WAS GORGEOUS AND THE SERVICE WAS AWESOME!! THE UNDERGROUND VALLET PARKING WAS MORE THAN WHAT I EXPECTED. IT WAS MY VERY FIRT TIME VISITING L.A. AND STAYING HERE MADE IT ALL POSSIBLE FOR ME TO GET TO OTHER VENUES EASILY. I WILL BE BACK TO VISIT AGAIN....THE BED WAS WONDERFUL AND COMFORTABLE AND THE VIEW I HAD WAS LIKE NO OTHER!!

I would probably NEVER go back.
By Tink, 03/14/08
This place was a dump...The rooms are extremely small. When u open the bathroom door is almost hits the adjacent wall cuz the door opens outward. The heater never worked properly and it was LOUD, the water didn't get really hot. Someone travelling with me had to move rooms 3 times the first nite...They double booked her first room and a man walked in WITH A KEY...The hallways smelled very bad, like mildew...NO THANKS FOR ALMOST 200 A NITE!!!

Excellent for a budget trip!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/24/08
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They knew everything about how to get about LA and further afield. The hotel is close to all major attractions like universal studios, hollywood, santa moncia! There are buses and rail no more than two blocks away which will get you wherever you want to go. Rooms were cleaned daily and we were never disturbed by cleaning staff which is great as some hotels they're banging down the doors trying to get in. Nightlife wasn't great in the area but the hotel has a few bars which were fine if your looking for a quiet evening. I would stay again in a flash. All in all it was a brilliant experience!

Gang Land
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/03/08
The room was fine, the view was good, the area was terrible. We had to catch a bus daily through 'the bronx' and we feared for our life on all trips to and from LA. On arrival we thought we'd stroll to the 'jewellery district' which was a slum and i'm just happy we hadn't decided to do that walk a night (fair chance i would not be here to write this email). We didn't eat out due to fear for our safety and the inhouse shops were less than desirable.

Not Bad..Hotel is Fine...but expensive parking
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/22/08
The hotel was fine. Better than what I expected. Service was nice and they were very accommodating. The only thing we didnt like was the $35 a night for parking underneath the hotel. It was all valet but still the parking was expensive. We stayed 4 nights. So we spent 140 alone for parking. You can park and go as much as you want but if left overnight its 35bucks. One thing also Internet use was not included. It was like 12 bucks for 24 hour use. So it did get spendy for these little things. But good thing was this was in downtown LA and was kind of in the middle of everything so traffic wasnt too bad. Alot better than what we expected it to be also. Once again, the pricing overall was fine. Just a little expensive for the other things I mentioned above. But would recommend for someone who doesnt mind the price for those items.
